Carbon Poker

Just a reminder that Carbon Poker is still alive but has a very small player pool. I'm sure many still have an account there. In my opinion, it has the best software. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other sites but it's solid software which never glitches (at least I've never experienced it). They are not accepting new players... reasons unknown but if you have an account, you can reload with 100% reload bonus. I'm hoping some of you will drop in and increase the player pool.

i play the 'free100' almost every day and you are correct about almost no glitches . that said , i got fed up after years of my 'player notes' and color codes vanished during an update . im not very tech savvy , so i cant really say ' unretrievable ', but i gave up almost all sngs, ring games and cash MTTs at that point !

Yeah that happened to me as well but even so, I like the site.

I used to play on Carbon Poker years ago, but they didn't had problems in paying the cashouts? Also, it's weird they don't accept new players, but I remember it was a good poker room. Maybe I'll check them again.

I have an account at sportsbook.com which uses the carbon poker software, i agree the software is top notch but every time i check the site out it is completely dead and nothing is running besides a few 3 dollar sit n goes.

a poker site that is running but does not accept new player? that is very very weird and does not sound very profitable. neither for a player nor as a business.

i think i have an account there from long long time ago but honestly why should i bother?

I play cash games there about every night. Yes sometimes there are very few games going and you have to take what stakes you can get but the same guys are there playing as well so you get to know their games pretty well. Give it a look and sit in once in a while. I believe sportsbook and carbon player pools are combined.

I understand it's maybe a licensing issue but the players with accounts are welcome to continue playing. Give it a look. If some of the old accounts start playing there again, it can be a good little player pool. They have the casino side to sustain the site which I believe does well.

Hi, to be honest, this is the first time I hear about this room. But I think if they do not accept new players, then soon they will lose everyone who still plays on their fields.

Well maybe, but it seems to have a loyal group of cash game players (which I am one of) and a lot more tournament players that play the nightly tournaments and the daily $100 freeroll. Tournaments seem to have some overlays now and then. If you're a tournament player, and aren't in it for the money, the daily $100 freeroll is a cool tournament that gets about 250-300 players.

Carbon always had great software, a shame it's a ghost town. A few years ago would log in sometimes and see tournies often had overlays so there's that I suppose.

Carbon Poker once was the flagship of the Merge Network.
Interesting they still exist and don't want new poker players, maybe they do sports betting now as their main area?
I still have an account there, they only do bitcoin deposits and cashouts.
But I'm not sure if they are reliable in terms of withdrawals.
The long and longer cashouts caused the end of the carbon freerolls here on CC.

No, they haven't accepted new players for a long time and I'm not sure why. May be a licensing thing but not sure.

Where can I find what CC says about it? I understand it's a ghost town and they're not accepting new players but I've never had an issue with the site at all and their support department has always responded quickly and been friendly and helpful. Full disclosure, I have never cashed out but some older 2+2 posts have indicated the process is much quicker than it used to be but I have no personal knowledge.

Maybe give it a try and request a cashout and then tells us how it went.

I used to play at Carbon many years ago, as well as other Merge skins. Really liked that software.
