7 months ago, I won 50.000 dollars on Pokerstars.
Same day, my account is frozen!!

Stars Support explain me that they need verification because I made deposit with différents crédit cards ( only small amounts of 20 euros but it was few cards which are not belonging to me )

So as the supporg asked, I sent all credit cards that was used for the deposits with the Id of the titular and their bank statements. I was really cooperating with them.

After, they said they need 6 months of investigation and my account will be reestablished on April 30th.
I accepted.
And after this date on question, I contacted them all this month always same answer : your case is under review by upper management and we will contact you shortly. Your patience is appreciated.
Always same answer but nothing concret has been made.

What do you think?

i remember my first week playing on full tilt (owned by stars) i build a bankroll from 0 to 250 and tried to withdraw... they said i could only withdraw after a min deposit.. i make a min deposit, they say sorry you can only withdraw as much as your deposit lol. tried linking to my stars account and it said sry already linked.. lol

**** stars, theyre a joke. every one thinks that since theyre in "canada" now that they follow laws but they are actually located on a native reserve that has its own law, quite like the isle of man.

stars ended up banning my account when i complained, said their advanced software algorithm detected multi accounting because my gf used my ipad to play a freeroll.. funny thing is, she'd been doing this for over a year and their algo didnt seem to pick up on it..

then they went far enough to say that me and my entire family are banned from their site. i would do something if it was worth it but 250 is definitely not.. i wouldnt expect to get your account opened any time soon, sorry. and the more you press the matter.. well.. you don't wanna end up like me ;)

Sounds to me that you stole some cards and tried to use Pokerstars to get money off them.

Don't worry my friend when investigation is completed they will come looking for you.

What do you expect a smooth transaction with cards not in your name. Stars security is good last year I had someone trying to log into my account from India now I have to enter a six digit pin along with my password.

The rules of PokerStars state that you can't use someone else's credit cards to make a Deposit. If you change your credit card, you must immediately notify Star`s security. Because of these disagreements, you have problems. Hope for the best. The conflict should be resolved in your favor.

Never heard anything like this for pokerstars before, why didn't you used your own credit card , would avoid all those unpleasantness ;(

but if you didn't stole , and you can confirm it (probably will include you, your friend , his card , PS , his bank history , ID's... who knows :) ) then I strongly believe , that you'll get your money and account back ;)

I wish I could deposit 20 euros , and finish with 50k$+ , maybe one day :)

I also used to replenish money for PokerStars and put them on different bank cards and there were no problems, but now it's necessary to PokerStars - the in order for the card to be in your name, and then there will be no problems, expect everything will be fine and you will be returned your money!

I'm wondering why you made deposits from other people's cards? You did not know that you can not do this?

If every detailed you sent to them is correct and you didn't made any illegal business, your account will be unfrozen and you'll get your money. But if something during the operation check-back lists is wrong, your money might be gone. So make sure everything is correct and you didn't lie a single word to them. Once they approve everything your account will be unfrozen and you can withdraw your money.

Hi.
You made a big mistake when using bank cards. After all, in the rules, it is very clearly written that the card should belong to you. I hope that you will get your money.
Otherwise, you will need to concentrate and once again win $ 50,000. But do not forget to use a card that belongs to you.
Good luck.

Not sure about Pokerstars, but for I think for WPN and maybe Bovada you can only use a credit card that matches the name of the person who opened the account, even if you use your wife's you can end up losing your account when you go to cash out. It's unfortunate, but I guess all you can do is comply with whatever info they want from you and hope that you end up getting your money in the end.

I'd be surprised if you get your money back, I'm sure it's against the t&c's to use other people cards.

Good luck though, hopefully they will give you the money back saying it's a gesture of good will.

What did you think would happen when you didn't follow their terms and conditions? Easy fix: Don't use someone else's credit card to fund your account.

I didn't know about this rule...
How about if you withdraw with the same card you used for deposit?

well if you cant deposit with someone elsed credit card why would pokerstars actually take a deposit from a credit card without the name of the member using it on it. Seems to me there is a double standard. basically theyell take money from a card not in your name unless you win then there is a problem with it. The man won as long as there is not a issue with unauthorized transaction on any of the cards give the man his money
