Received this email today:

"We want to inform you of an upcoming change to mobile play.

Starting Wednesday, May 6 we will no longer offer mobile poker.

This change is part of ongoing improvements to platform security and overall player protection.

We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your understanding."

That came as a big surprise and is a huge step back imo. Support confirmed it when i asked if there is a new App in planning:

"Please note that, at this time, the mobile app is no longer available for use. Our platform can currently only be accessed via PC. We do not have any information at this moment regarding the release of a new app or upcoming updates for mobile devices."

Very weird. Never saw a site suddenly doing that 🤔

I honestly cant believe it. My guess is that they have something in the pipeline which will be released at a later point and support does not know about it now or is not allowed to talk about it.

Otherwise this would be an absolute fail of a decision in 2026 with in such a competitive market.

I received the same email from black chip poker referencing the winning poker network. Haven't received anything from ACR. Would be a big inconvenience, if true.

I believe WPN is switching to the access poker\ casino site, a web browser from a mobile app. I believe the email should have read that they are discontinuing the mobile app and moving to a web-based solution.

The initial website mentioned is following:

https://play.acrpoker.eu/m

I have no info about the other skins regarding the URL.

Ok thanks a lot. Tested this and works. New version seems more smooth but its the same old crappy interface with limited options. Everything is a bit smaller now which is the only negative change.

Crazy how their support didnt mention this link and basically told me thats it for mobile lol.

That's pretty weird but I can imagine it might be a step to fight the bot farms. They usually run on mobile.

But if you can still play from the browser from a mobile device, then that probably doesn't really fit my idea of reason.

Hard to say, what the reason is, but the sounds like, they had some security issues with the mobile app. And rather than trying to fix those issues, they just axed the mobile app completely. Does not affect me personally, since I always play from a laptop anyway.

Let's be honest ACR have never really bothered with there mobile applications that much anyways .

Probably one of the worst to use and navigate.

Perhaps in the future the application will change for the better. Yes, the ACR application is not perfect enough compared to some other poker applications. It would be good to update the application and not cancel it from the service.
Good luck ACR

Today they sent me a reminder:

"This is a reminder that starting Wednesday, May 6, we will no longer offer mobile poker.

This update is part of important security improvements across the platform.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Winning Poker Network"

Again with absolutely no comment on the new web based application whatsoever. How incompetent do they want to be?

No loss. Acr's mobile app was the pinnacle of inconveniency

Really is weird.. I like to imagine a scene where the programmer finally had enough trying to explain to the boomer owner what C# , C++ and javascript are .
After the boomer insisted we can make a website like in the early 2000s the programmer quit.
The senior owner then tries to find another programmer but nobody wants to put up with his incompetence.

And that's why we don't have an App anymore xD

Well they changed the green felt some time ago and now it looks a bit better but still almost no options to choose from and everyone still with the same silly comic Avatar.

That being said i got used to the app by now and one thing that is very convenient is that there is a clear warning sound when its my turn. I like to play on the side at times without paying too much attention and for this the app is good enough.

But what is really weird is that they send out mass E-Mails telling people they are going to end mobile when in reality they only change from an app to a web based version (which is exactly the same as the app if we talk interface).

Today received a (probably) final email with the title "mobile poker update now in effect":

As of today, Mobile poker is no longer available.

This change has been implemented as part of ongoing security enhancements.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for continuing to play with us.

Winning Poker Network

Lol yeah sure. Just checked that new web browser version and its online. So on ACR a change from an app to a web version means that "mobile poker is no more available". Noted. 🥲

I also received the email, but in my case it won’t make much difference since I didn’t play much on ACR. Still, it’s a bit surprising to see them completely remove mobile access.

Yeah could be to fight bots like Andy said and/or because players somehow abused the app by playing from different skins at the same time or other similar stuff.

So what happened in the end is that only the ACR skin is left with a mobile option now.

One day you will actually get older (if you're fortunate) and when you do, you might just discover that you'll actually experience an INCREASE in wisdom & knowledge. You'll find others who were once like yourself, who typically think similarly to a teenager (you know... when they're at that age where they can't learn anything because they already know everything).

Just curious. What online poker site do you have currently operating in the U.S.A.? Are you playing in $100k buyin tourneys? Worth multi-millions?
Yah, your image of Nagy is probably spot on. Even your imagination knows what its talking about.

Well, the emails I received from ACR said to switch to their faster, easier mobile experience. No downloads, no updates, just tap, log in and play.

The thing is it appears as an app in my phone, but is just 457 kb. So, it works the same as the previous app, just not downloadable.

Yeah, removing mobile poker completely in 2026 feels pretty wild tbh.
Security reasons sounds more like “we had issues and don’t have a proper fix yet.” Huge downgrade for casual grinders and people who multi-table on the go.
