I received an email about Stars Account. I don't really understand what changed.
Do I have something to do right now or in the future?
No action required. It's more of an "FYI" since you'll be seeing emails coming from Stars Account more frequently going forward. This is included in the email, but for those that haven't read it, here's the explanation for Stars Account:
As you may know, we are offering not only Poker, but also Casino and Sports Betting for a number of different countries and licenses, under several brand names. As a result, we decided that a new naming convention for some features of our software was in order, to make sure players understand the cross-product and cross-brand nature of these features.
Going forward, your "PokerStars Account" will henceforth simply be referred to as your "Stars Account". Your account and "Stars ID" (formerly "User ID") will remain exactly the same, only the naming convention will change. So instead of using their "PokerStars Account" to access Poker, Casino or Sports, players will now be using their "Stars Account"; and instead of using your "User ID" and password to log into your "PokerStars Account", you will now use your "Stars ID" and password to log into your "Stars Account".
Aside from the new naming convention, you will not be affected by this change in any way. The only difference you may notice is that some of our emails are going to look slightly different. For example, instead of receiving an email reply from "
[email protected]" our sender address for Support may be
[email protected] (typically for account and transaction related issues).
