For me, 888poker is the clear winner. The soft player pool makes it much easier to stay profitable compared to tougher sites. The best part is definitely their freeroll schedule. They run a ton of free tournaments with decent prize pools, which is perfect for building a bankroll or just playing stress-free poker.

Apparently this belgian player failed to get the memo, since he has been winning on PokerStars for 15 years.

You on the other hand have only played 135 games on WPT Global, which is far to little to have any idea about your long term results. Especially since many of these games are freerolls, where obviously its impossible to not win at least something, if you play enough of them.

On PokerStars you have played 1.099 games, but most of them are freerolls, and your average buyin in only $0.07. Which mean, that over several years you have only invested around $77 in normal tournaments on PokerStars. And obviously you cant win, if you dont even try.

You have a point; I'll start taking some risks.

I’ve been playing on 888poker for seven years; I like the App's lobby, and I haven't had any issues with them.

"wpt" has a lot of security and that gives confidence although sometimes it becomes a bit annoying, it's worth it, it has a fair game and there are too many fish, you just need a stroke of good luck.

RAIZE poker, although many of you have not heard it i am sure. No RNG on it, because it has live dealers. You can play NLH/PLO or mixed as usual against other players, but there is live dealing, real cards.

GGPoker is certainly the top room, though the massive tournament fields are a downside. WPT Global is gaining momentum; it offers plenty of good tournaments, solid player pools, and fast crypto deposits and withdrawals. ACR is another decent option with good tournaments, and they’ve recently been giving away a lot of free tickets. I used to play a lot on 888, but the site is in decline now—guarantees have dropped and the tournaments are dominated by regulars.

Well you cant both have massive activity and small fields in MTTs at the same time. So if you dont want to content with massive fields, then GG Poker is not the "top room", and you should probably check out some less popular sites instead. The same could be said about PokerStars even 5 years ago, but today there are plenty of smaller field MTTs there.

I’ve described my experience playing on various sites. GGPoker is truly the number one site in the world right now. I also mentioned WPT as an excellent option for playing at the moment. I’ve long since forgotten about PokerStars, even though I played nearly 7,000 tournaments there.

Depends what you mean by "number one". Its the most popular, but thats not the same as being the best.

For me PokerStars is still far superior to GG Poker in most aspects, but it depends, what you are looking for. Since WPT Global does not operate in Sweden, I cant comment on that site.

My favorite poker site is 888 poker. I just enjoy playing there the most. There aren't as many players as on GGPoker, for example, and I also seem to run better there. 😄

Right now, definitely WPT Global, followed by GGPoker.

888 Poker is a pretty soft site, if you play micro or low stakes games, and the software is also good. It used to regularly crash for no apparent reason, but it seems like, they have gotten this sorted out completely, and it now run even smoother than the software of PokerStars. However this is unfortunately where the good news end, because there are at least 3 problems with 888 Poker, that people need to know about before deciding to make deposits or spend significant time playing there.

Activity/volume is very limited
There is not much activity on the site. Even if you play 2NL or 5NL cash games, you might find, that no more than a few tables are running. There are also no SnGs and not that many MTTs either.

Withdrawals are often delayed for no good reason
When people request a withdrawal, they are commonly asked to reverify their account, even though the account was already fully verified years ago, and this can be nothing less than a bureaucratic nightmare. Reportedly people living in countries, where the official language is spanish, are asked to send documents issued in english.

And for me they send me an email translated so poorly into swedish, that it request, that I send them a picture of my "account statement problems" and other similar nonsense. They also asked me to upload this on a site, which I can not log on to, because in Sweden we dont have a traditional username and password log-in. Instead we use a personal digital ID called Bank-ID, and this does not work on the site, where they want me to upload documents.

Security is likely among the worst in the business
From when I played there regularly back in 2020-2021 I know, that they take basically no action against multiaccounters, and from recent experience cash games from 20NL and above are infected with scripts users. A script is a program, which identify, when a "weak" player has sat down at a cash table and then instantly seat the script user at the same table or put him on the waiting list. This mean, that weak players are being relentlessly bumhunted, and if you are not using a script yourself, you will never get to play with them.

You will probably be fine, if you play micro or low stakes games, but I would be very hesitant playing mid or high stakes games on 888 Poker. I think, there is a very high risk, you will get cheated in some way by multiaccounters, colluders, RTA users and what not. The issue is, there is so little activity on 888 Poker, that they cant afford to have much staff. They obviously dont have anyone, who speak spanish or swedish, and likely the security team is either one guy on his way to retirement, or it has been sacked completely to save money.

I rate sites based on how I feel about RNG's book distributions! It seems to me that 888Poker is the best in this respect followed by PokerStars and GGPoker, the latter leaves me with the impression that incredible distributions occur especially on River.

For me, WPT Global is definitely the top choice right now. The software is incredibly modern and easy to use, especially on mobile. What I love most is their strict security, anti-bot ecosystem, and their ban on third-party HUDs, which naturally keeps professional grinders away. On top of that, their exclusive satellites to real-world WPT live events offer unmatched value that you just can't find on other platforms.
