PaPa51, and all other PurePlay Casino players:

**BEWARE!! PurePlay is still billing premium players debit/credit cards. Contact your financial institution immediately so that they can take the steps necessary to prevent any further charges by PurePlay.

PurePlay Pokers servers have been down for over a month now (down approx. Jan. 19th 2019) after going down for routine maintenance and never returning. I am not affiliated with PurePlay, other than playing NLH on the site, but I can say this, since that day, PurePlay has been completely DARK with no communication via their website (offline), social media (not posted for some time) or email (no replies after consistently having exemplary customer service, IMO) However, with no attempt to settle out accounts payable, they still managed to BILL me the monthly premium player charge as if they were up and running!

They owe many players money, and I feel bad for anyone who actually won a wsop seat... I wish they would issue some statement (apology... ahem) conveying what happened. We'll see...

Image is my SMS notification from my card company showing PurePlay billed me well after going dark.

I got a legal notice from the courts in NY that PurePlay or the LLC that owned it has declared bankruptcy and if you have a claim, you need to contact them but usually when the lawyers get thru feeding like buzzards, there won't be much left.

That's one of the reasons why it's better to keep your bankroll in your wallet or bank account.
ANother good thing is to have a extra debit card for online spendings or have a option to issue a virtual debit card when you need it, some banks provide such service.
But one more debit card solves all problems, it should be empty 99.9% of time. When you're going to spend money online, and doesn't matter if it's some trusted online shop or onlien casino, then you simply transfer the amount your're going to spend to this empty debit card and use it. Money transfers between cards at your bank account are instant, and easy to do in online banking. Your extra debit card will remain empty.
So when some hacker will steal the database with bank card info from the servers of your favorite amazon/poker/trusted site and this hacker will start using your card - he will spend 0 money. The same story with auto-payments of some systems.

You're the victim of your own mistake. It's not wise to provide sensitive personal information that can be used against you in many areas, even in live casino. It's better to walk there with cash, than using a credit card. Cause cash is the money, but credit card is the access to your money.
Amen.

PurePlay was an honest company. They were bought by RockYou. RockYou declared bankruptcy. They are the ones who went dark and didn't pay. PurePlay treated their members well when they were on their own.

I miss them. I won 1k from a freeroll from them way back about 13 years ago. My first and only major freeroll win,

paid me

Back in the day played at purely and was fun.
I quit really after black friday.
I received all money owed back in the day and while the site did not have the best options.
I remember they did have his a few large tournament gtd hat was super fun.
Just speculation everything ends and with new owners they may have borrowed from a source and then ran after money was moved offshore.

They were basically like NLOP (National League Of Poker) and Global Poker.

donk players

there are a lot of donk players who no mater the had will shove all in which is risky for both party's. due to the randomness or not of the cards. i got busted recently in the most ridiculous way had a high flush post flop i checked guy shoves i call the all in he has a small flush draw. not only did the turn made the flush but it also made a possible straight flush which gets there on the river. talk about ridiculous randomness, tilted on that one

I was there from the beginning when it was called BetZip. I probably won close to $2K over the life of the site. When it changed to PurePlay, I won a wsop seat in 2011. I had the option to take $3K in cash, but decided to go and play. Quite an experience. Although I was knocked out late on Day 1 it was an awesome day. I miss the site, although it was an action-flop program. You had to be very selective in playing hands.
