I've only been playing poker for two months. I started playing against AI and hosting home (dorm) games every weekend. I then moved to Replay Poker to play against actual people. But since the chips are cheap/freepeople are absolutely flooding the pot with marginal hands. Like betting $1000 in a $1/2 game on a 23o hand. I'm looking for live online site where people are a little more realistic with their play. What site do you recommend and what blinds should I be going to considering I'm a broke college student.

Great question, however answer is somewhat subjective.
I, personally, have played most of the more popular sites, like Poker Stars, GG Poker, 888 Poker, WPT, ACR and Party Poker and have found the players in all the sites are similar min their actions. If you are playing Cash Games then I would choose GG Poker. That site at least provides an on line HUD where you can see the players tendencies regarding betting habits, this can be helpful. The sites I would avoid are ACR, Poker Stars and Party Poker. There has been some talk of Card Manipulation and poor customer service on those, so avoid. If you are playing tournaments ,i.e. freerolls. you can expect there to be a few "crazy" players who do as you suggest bet big on garbage hands. All in all I have found GG Poker to be the best site. However the lower the buy in or blinds then the crazier the players. As for your example I believe Replay Poker is only Play Money therefore little value...try playing sites where the chips are paid for and the games use real money. Enjoy

I also recommend ggpoker, all my life I have played on pokerstars and while there was a large field in tournaments it was the best site to play, lots of cool tournaments, now only ggpoker remains of the biggest, except that there you have to have a very good bankrol management, I am currently fighting with it myself and it is difficult, because I play irregularly and I sometimes miss the time to play micro stakes:) and this is from Once poker verifies:) unfortunately but bankrol management is the basis

At least for me, I like playing on GGPoker, WPT Global, and PokerStars. But you should check which poker sites are available in your country and try them out to see which one you enjoy the most and which fits what you’re looking for.

GGPoker is currently the most played site, so I’d probably start there.

Not exactly real money, but playing on poker Apps/private games offers the easiest field. If you sacrificing a bit of traffic for more recreational players, it may be worth it in the end.

For example, recently World Poker Tour brand also launched their own App in this sector called WPT HOME.

In general, at stakes of $1-$2 people play adequately. I suggest you PokerStars or 888 Poker.

This would be like asking Donald Trump to tell you more about how he will stop the war in Ukraine in one day.
Some of the people responding in this thread don't know what they're talking about &/or are terrible at poker (ie. suggesting there is card manipulation.. sigh..
You're in Canada. All the bigger, popular sites are good. Pokerstars, GGPoker, ACR, Partypoker, SportsBetting/Betonline and to a lesser degree 888Poker & WPTglobal

I recomend pokerstars. I play ther 18 years and it's ok. Many different games, tourneys, sit and gos, cash games... For everyone is something there. In last time are there much less freerolls and you can't win cash money in most cases, but you win some tickets, so you can play further with bigger buy ins.

I'm playing mostly on GG and 888 and Replay and can principially recommend all of them.
For GG - they have a so called 30day honey moon with challanges where you can win free tickets and so.
However you need to deposit some money to be able to play (and win) all challenges.
They have much more players than on 888 (e.g. 800 players on 0,01/0,02).

On 888 - be sure to be fully verified includuing address before starting to play.
Then you can play some freerolls to build up a bankroll or watch some 888 twitch streamers where you can win some tournament tickets (even up to $320 tournament ticket). But be prepared that you may face issues when trying to withdraw money - so try to withdraw before building high bankroll.

On Replay I'm just playing freerolls or the cardschat tournaments.

to be more clear, the one member you've responded here to, requesting more info. is NOT the one you want to getting info. from imo.
If you're new to the game you'll want to be playing some of the lowest stakes online (ie.
Cash Games (where you buy-in for 100bb's and can leave the table at any time & take your money with you)
2nl (1cent/2cent blinds, cash game), Once you can beat 2nl, consider 5nl if you want to go the cash game route
Tournament Play (ou buy-in for tournament and play til' the end)
$0.50, $1 tournament 'fee' for MTT play
Freerolls - you might also want to consider playing in some freerolls but a lot of them will be nonsensical play unless it's a smaller field tournament, ie. a private game requiring a password

It all depends on your budget, but if you like to play for free or with little money, I recommend 888 and gg.
