Does anyone play on either of these sites? Please share your experience there.

Also, do they have any private tourneys? Wondering if Cardschat has inquired with them for running some stuff on there?
WPTglobal seems like a huge fail to me. Started off with a bunch of hype, games had some players in them (always with promises of future growth) but things went downhill there quickly. Not sure why I don't remove my last $$'s from the site tbh (too lazy probably). I'm hearing WPTgold is a different story. Anyone?

I believe CC will continue to stay away from crypto sites like Coinpoker.

i had a friend whose WPT Gold cashout for ~$17 k was refused after he had 2 big scores in large MTTs ! so i absolutely can't recommend that site .

I’ve never played on WPTgold, but I play on Coin all the time; there are plenty of satellites—either free or costing just a few cents—that can get you into high-stakes tournaments. Plus, on Sundays, there’s a $1 event with a $5K guarantee.

Most certainly yes, but why does this matter? Its not like, there is any requirement for members of this forum to only play on the sites, that CC are currently affiliated with.

CP probably has the toughest microstakes cash games that I've played. Their rakeback system means seeing a lot of multitabling to grind rakeback. Their tournament schedule is kind of sparse IMO and I don't think I've ever seen an overlay. They offer short deck but the tables are always empty.

Their built in HUD has most of the information you would want but it's still annoying that they banned HUDs. Their phone App is the only one that I've played on that doesn't make mobile feel like a massive handicap. It has the best mobile app of any poker room I've played on by far.

There was concern on reddit about how invasive the software was but it was about on par with WPT from what I understand on desktop. It was a resource hog compared to 888, stars or party. On mobile it is less invasive than WPTglobal which asked for full system write access which was mind boggling to me. Garbage software and full blown spyware IMO. To me, 888 is the best room even if I find their mobile app somewhat lacking. If they would just add note taking on mobile I'd be able to fully recommend them.

For soft games I think Stake is the best. I always try to play their special promotional series. The variance is so high though because the play from a much larger size of the pool than usual is so insanely loose and quite aggressive. For the people who constantly whine (not OP) about bad beats and 'bad play', you probably should avoid it lest your vulnerable mental fortitude will be crushed. Though you might make enough money to go to therapy or at least bus fare to Codependants Anonymous or something.

Coin poker is good for Cash games players, because of rakeback starture, also no flop no drop. For micro players not so much tournaments.
Wptglobal i don't like so much, for cash players is so bad. But i think no rakeback on Wpt for tournament players.

CardsChat cannot be affiliated with any grey market sites, crypto or otherwise. We are going to be doing a look into sweepstakes sites like WPT Gold - these cater to players in the US and Canada - one of the things we'll look at is whether free games, etc. would be offered.

Yes. WPTglobal I don't like much either (as I mentioned in my initial post) but what about WPTgold? Do you know much about it?

I should probably make two separate threads.

thanks for the replies!

Not interested in Short Deck. What other sites have you played microstakes cash on? (for me to compare your statement to).
Do they have 'Zoom-style' cash games? (fast fold, RUSH, etc. etc.). I'm mostly looking for another site to add in MTT's from.

MTT's - not too concerned about overlay hunting (seems almost non-existent these days). When you say 'kind of sparse', how so? Like as in sparse like 888 is these days? Or more like Partypoker tables? I like some large field MTT's on the schedule but I'm also all for playing smaller fields with just 75 to 300 entrants sort of thing.
Hearing it's a resource hog is a bit of a pain in the a55 for sure. I only play on desktop computer and actually have a new setup sitting in boxes (for 18mos. now... sigh) that I'll just force myself to get happening but wouldn't mind being able to play off the old clunker in the meantime.

tks for the info.

So am I to assume there's 5,000+ entrants for a $1 MTT on Sunday? (I'm mostly looking to play $5 to $25 and was wondering about number of tourneys in that range... & number of entrants... tourney structures (are they long like ACR's, or are they shallow like GG's)?

I've mostly played on Stars, PP and 888.

Yeah about at the level of 888. The fields are definitely deeper though.

No zoom tables surprisingly.

I found there are still a fair amount of overlays in satellites if you're willing to max late reg for when they come up on pp and 888. For mtts, yeah they're rare. Stake had some massive ones though in their world cup series. I think the first one was like 70k

Thats definitely not true except for sites operating illegally in the USA.

There is no need to worry though.
Even if our current respectable affiliate sites would start allowing crypto IN ADDITION to fiat, that would most likely not be a problem.
That is not what I meant with my previous comment.

Exactly - as far as what CardsChat is affiliated with, as long as they are regulated sites, doesn't matter if they also offer crypto options.

Its kind of besides the point, but sites like GG Poker, WPT Global and 888 Poker are no more "respectable" than a site like ACR poker. In fact I would say, that ACR Poker is probably overall more "respectable" than either of those 3 in the way, they conduct their business. However ACR Poker operate illegally in the US market, which the other 3 sites do not, and this is why, CC could not continue to be affiliated with ACR Poker.

Wpt has private tournaments but coinpoker doesn't have any private tournaments, i don't know why nobody is willing to host on there or if it is them that doesn't allow

Oh, I have my opinion about those. I am just going to keep it to myself.

I play on CoinPoker and I like it. There are no regular freerolls there, only their own in-house freerolls. If you win a tournament there, you get tournament funds that you can use to play any games on the site, including sports betting.

WPT global has a few good mtts but not much there. Coin poker has been amazing so far to me plus they do have amazing and value games for small buy ins plus coin poker somehow I find it a bit easier.

I always enter the MLR with 10 BBs, double up, and make the money.

I played on WPT gold When it was allowed last year, it was okay. I got my money. I'm happy.
