Aldo is one of the best defensive fighters the sport has ever seen. Period. Right up there with Cruz. Did you even watch his latest fight with Edgar, as just one example?!? Aldo's defense is f&*king sublime.

No more than it already has IMO.

Yes there are new owners but they've left Uncle Dana in charge. And one of their biggest motivations has to be keeping the UFC as a professional and presentable organisation, because the real money in this for them is having Fox and ESPN get into a bidding war over the television rights when the current Fox deal expires.

Crossovers into other forms of media are more likely, as WME's core business is as a talent agency.

ive already come to terms with how the ufc operates. all i can do is hope mcgregor gets viciously knocked out and nobody talks about that two time loser again.
or wait until the next unqualified guy gets pushed to the top because he knows how to play the game and somehow talks his way into main events and title fights. like chael sonnen and brock lesnar.

The very best version of Conor is not enough to beat a full camp Nate Diaz at 170. The first fight was not a matter of strategy error or Conor getting tired. Nate landed the more efficient punches and Conor did not. Sure he can try to change things but at the end of the day Nate is the better fighter especially fighting at 170.

You are seriously saying that McGregor gassing was not a huge issue in the first fight?? Even his harshest critics acknowledge this. Did you not watch the fight??

Conor was over confident and let Diaz drag him down into the trenches. Unless he makes the same mistake again he could very well win this fight.

The man beat Conor on 11 days notice last time. I see the fight playing out the same way the first one did. Except Conor will adjust and make it into the later rounds. I see Conor slowing down , getting hurt and then finished again.

Conor has a punchers chance ( despite popular belief I believe he did hurt Diaz in the first fight ). But maby that is all he needs. We will soon find out. There is a reason why this fight is at 170lbs again. Conor wants/needs an excuse for when he losses. But but ... it was at 170lbs.

I think the takeaway from this is that the sport as a whole has definitely had a PED problem for its whole existence, and USADA may be helping to clean things up but the job isn't done yet.

B.J. didn't get caught with PED's. He took an IV his doctor gave him. B.J. himself disclosed that information to USADA and thus the reason for his 6 month suspension. If he didn't disclose it to the USADA it's very likely they never would have found out. Let's not put him in a category with PED users.

Point was... well... two points I guess. One, BJ Penn is just impossibly stupid. Of all the ways to fail a USADA test that's about the dumbest possible one.

But more importantly, two, fighters from all over the world are failing tests, for all sorts of stuff minor and otherwise. It's not just a Brazilian problem or a Russian problem or an American problem. The sport as a whole still has a ways to go cleaning itself up.

Well actually you are not at all ''qualified'' to comment on Irish supporters of MMA seeing as you automatically and wrongly assume we all sound delusional. Dont believe everything you hear from Dana White of on Joe Rogans podcast. Believe me, there are far more critics of Conor McGregor in this country than there are fans despite what anyone might say to the contrary.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure McGregor will win the fight... of course, as in any fight, anything can happen, but McGregor should be able to win in a decisive way.

He has been able to get in shape for a 170 pound fight. The previous one he just ate and gain weight fast, which cost him the fight. He was tired at the end of the first round, that's why he lost. This time he won't have that problem.

Nate wasnt provoked by a question or something Conor said or anything, just got up and left. And then a sh*t talking and bottle throwing all looked kinda cliché to me. Either way it's got people more hyped for this Saturday so I guess all in all it was a successful presser for the UFC lol
