Not unreasonable to speculate that he (Mendes) has been doing it for years. Long before McGregor was even in the UFC probably. In the last 3-4 years he has been looking like a caricature of himself. And he's not the only one currently or formerly at TAM that is or was at it.

Argue it all you want but its blatantly obvious with some of them, especially since USADA have come in. Just wait until Chad comes back and you will see a noticeable difference in his physique.

That Diaz was trying to bait Conor to the ground. Similar to what Werdum does.

What is your frame of reference for this? Has Diaz ever done this before. It was a clean knockdown. Look at it from any other angle and its conclusive, beyond doubt.

Just because I think its laughable that you would let your imagination run away from you and suggest that knockdown was in some way ''intentional'' by Diaz doesn't mean I'm being defensive.

Of course but in this instance its just laughable.

The knockdown in question happened about 50 seconds into the second round. About 30 seconds earlier, Diaz had been floored for the second time in the fight and had taken some heavy shots in the late stages of the first round. He was still plainly reeling when he was knocked down again.

And I've never seen Nate Diaz use it as a tactic. If anything he should do it as his ground game from bottom is second to none, but he doesn't and you know it.

Look at the first minute of round two again and tell me honestly that Diaz is intentionally throwing hmself to the mat.

Hats off to Diaz for winning the first fight. He deserved the win. Mcregor, even with a full camp was so under prepared and over confident, he deserved to lose in the fashion he did.

But Mendes is a totally different story. Mendes is a rotten cheat and doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as fighters like Nate Diaz.

Here again is a prime example of how Mcgregor doesn't get credit for what he does.

An equally big reason for Mendes gassing was the ferocious and relentless body shots and spinning back kicks he took. It wasn't all down to his alleged lack of a camp.

Plus I wouldn't be so quick to believe that he wasn't staying ready to step in. Everybody knows Aldo has previous form for pulling out of fights outside of Brazil. Mendes knew it too.

Frankie was staying in fight shape at the time for exactly that reason. No reason to believe Mendes wasn't doing the same.

Mendes was still a tough opponent to beat even if he didn't have time to prepare. It was a good win for Conor. No-one ( at least not me ) is taking away from this. Conor also has an impressive win over Aldo and is current 145lb champion. You don't do those things without being good. He just isn't as good as his persona or fans claim.

Why bring up Mendes at all then? Thanks in full to the fact that he is and was a drugs cheat, you nor anyone can know how well prepared he really was for the fight with McGregor. Full camp or not, Mendes is a terrible example to use for anything.
