I read the article and was horrified by the size of the income tax in Australia, in my opinion it’s a lot, but to be more precise, it’s a robbery))) to give 45%, roughly speaking, from your salary as taxes

"Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov, who reached the semifinals of the Austrlian Open, earned $655,000 from the tournament. After paying taxes, and in Australia, 45% of this amount will have to be given to the state, the Russian will receive $ 360 thousand"

I'm not claiming to know about international tax laws but I would be amazed if a person who doesn't live in Australia, or even in Russia for that matter, would have to pay income tax to Australia.

in Romania we have the same taxes 🙂 we used to joke about winning the lottery and getting 1 million $ but then we woke up and realised we would only win ~500k

we have 30% and we think it's a lot, but after we find out how we find out what taxes in Australia and Romania we will be satisfied🙄

States and governments, along with banks, are just legal usurers

but usury is prohibited by law🤣
Many countries where it is not prohibited. In other countries, the boundaries of interest on a loan are specified.
