I really had no idea what to play for today as IMO both UCL matches are tough to predict and it won't be a surprise to me regardless of the results... but I also believe we have value on this high odds for Barca to still advance to the next round- all they need is a solid performance and we've seen plenty of them this season, plus against Atletico they've almost managed to overcome a 4-0 loss in Copa del Rey just a few weeks ago* it ended 3-0 for Barca in the 2nd leg with lots of chances to score at least a 4th goal...

As I promised yesterday, I’m back in the NBA Postseason, which I didn’t do last season. But that’s only because I see that a lot of changes have taken place in MLB compared to last season, and I need to watch more games to understand the dynamics of the current campaign. So, why Miami? The point is that today I’m betting on experience, not ambitions. Yes, Charlotte surprised many during the regular season. But this is a team that played in the Playoffs for the last time in the 2015/2016 season. Miami lost their last game against Charlotte by 30 points, but they were without their leaders, Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins. Prior to that game, Miami hadn’t lost to Charlotte by more than 5 points in 21 consecutive games. Bet? Absolutely!

Today I’m bringing you more of a prediction than a bet, since at least personally I won’t be betting, but I’d like this result to happen. It’s a Copa Sudamericana match between O’Higgins and São Paulo, and I think the Chilean side, O’Higgins, is very underrated. Even though they’re playing away, I believe they can get a draw, or even a win with a bit of luck.

So my pick is O’Higgins to draw or win, at odds of 3.15.

Last bet won. Yes, Bam Adebayo got injured, and that didn't allow Miami to beat Charlotte. Kon Knueppel completely failed the game, and it's clear that he's not ready for the Postseason due to a lack of experience. But Coby White showed his high level and that he deserves a spot in the starting five. New bet: Orlando Magic on the road will beat Philadelphia 76ers by 3 points or more. Joel Embiid won’t play, and that’s a key loss for Philadelphia. Yes, the 76ers have Paul George, but the fact is that Orlando will play with their optimal starting five, including Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner, who missed quite a few regular-season games. I think we can’t ignore such a tempting “2.25” odds, considering that Philadelphia had another weak regular season, winning most of their games against tanking teams. Bet? Absolutely!

These teams played against each other quite recently in the 2020-2021 Playoffs, and Atlanta won that series with confidence in 5 games. Of course, only Onyeka Okongwu remembers those Playoffs. But the fact is that this season’s Atlanta team is the strongest version of itself in the last 20 seasons. The Knicks are undoubtedly an experienced Playoff team, which reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season after defeating both Detroit and Boston in their first two series. As for head-to-head battles, Atlanta hasn’t lost to New York by more than 5 points in 10 out of the last 15 games. But looking at this season, the Knicks haven’t beaten the Hawks by more than 3 points in any of their three games. I think the 1st game of the series will be a close one, and everything will be decided in the clutch by a 2-4 point margin in favor of one of these teams. Bet? Sure!

I don't recognize the Gunners lately* FT 0-0... it will be a shame for Arteta to bottle another season: out of FA Cup, EFL Cup and tbh Sporting deserved to win and at least to push the Series/game to extra-time... and Man City is so close now in Premier League, plus Guardiola's squad will be focused on this competition and they are looking really good lately... luckily Bayern(with a bit of help from the referee) saved the day with an impressive comeback in a 4-3 game thriller

I’d call this the “Hornets Effect.” Yes, Detroit is an incredible team in the regular season, with a deep bench, but in this Playoffs, we’ll see a downturn in all stats, just like we saw with the Charlotte players in the current Play-In. Orlando certainly showed character in the last game. And I was impressed by how strong the Magic looked. I think the current series is not as clear-cut as the bookmakers suggest, and Orlando has a chance to advance to the 2nd round. Bet? Absolutely!

To be honest, I could only see one player on the Pistons’ roster who’s ready to win in this Playoffs. That is undoubtedly Cade Cunningham, who played poorly on defense but was truly effective on offense. Orlando played very tight on defense. This is undoubtedly thanks to Jamahl Mosley. And yes, I believe Orlando can advance to the 2nd round, as the quality of their play deserves attention. The Knicks have played above their usual level, which is what I saw during the regular season. And I’m sure it will be difficult for New York to repeat the same effectiveness from three-point range. Miracles don’t happen, and I don’t see a strong bench in New York. Jordan Clarkson, who is expected to be New York’s sixth man in these Playoffs, has regressed significantly this season, and all the other players are either strong on offense but very weak on defense (Landry Shamet and Miles McBride), or, as in the case of Mitchell Robinson, the opposite: strong enough on defense and on the rebound, but not very effective on offense. As for Atlanta, I’m confident that Jonathan Kuminga and Gabe Vincent will play much better in the upcoming game. And yes, we should see a more solid defense from the Hawks. Bet? Absolutely!

Man City vs. Arsenal was one of the best game I've seen this season- both teams showed up and played (IMO) close to their best and either could have deserved to get a positive result* FT 2-1 for the Citizens ... that's why I've mentioned Arteta in the previous post as it's a manager job to handle this leads better and not let the team get complacent- I think people saying they're the best team in the World this season hurt them- I honestly hope it isn't too late to 'wake up' now and still manage to win the Premier League, as I don't think they'll have much of a chance in UCL- it might not be the worst outcome if Atl. Madrid will eliminate them in the Semi-finals... PSG didn't play bad but it just wasn't their day, just tough luck in the 1st half with lots of great chances to score, even a penalty kick missed, while their opponents managed to score from 2 of their few attacks... FT 1-2

A bet from Premier League for today and I'll go for value as West Ham is fighting to avoid relegation and needs all 3 points, they've also played 1 match in the past ~10 days(a 4-0 win vs. the Wolves), while Crystal Palace played 3 matches- they even played all their starters in the 2nd leg vs. Fiorentina* 2-1 loss, they've still easily advanced to the next round... Crystal Palace also is sitting in a comfortable middle-table position, so they might not take this game seriously... this late in the season, determination(who wants/needs to win more)/fatigue/injuries are things more important than the actual standings and/or team value- I believe this is close to an ideal situation for West Ham to 'steal' all 3 points:

Joel Embiid is definitely Philadelphia’s key player, and the 76ers play very weakly against Boston without him. I think Boston will be leading comfortably by 20-25 points by the end of the 3rd quarter. That’s what I’m expecting to see. Bet? Absolutely!
