Even if they're not close friends, it's ideal for a tie. If they tie, both countries advance although Germany will clinch as first place and US will clinch as 2nd but Belgium and Algeria aren't powerhouses where US or Germany have to fight hard each other to avoid one of those countries.

God dammit. If all 4 Asian countries fail to advance to 2nd round, then even as Asian, World Cup should cut down number of berth for Asian countries and cut it down to 2. If I hate and oppose Affirmative Action, then I should apply the same principle. There are so many better European and South American countries that deserve World Cup spot better than Asian countries. Asian berth should be cut to 2. And me saying 2 is already lenient and nice enough. If anything, I wish it can get cut down to 1 just so that it gives the meaning of the word "World". Countries like Sweden, Poland, Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, and other European countries are so much better than Asian countries and they can't qualify due to competitiveness in Europe.
