FIFA World Cup™ expanded to 48 teams from 2026

For me it is good news,there is a lot more football games,intesresting moments to watch.
So we will watch good world cup.
 
Yeah it's a crazy decision but i think the world cup will be more interesting in this format
 
Will provide more poorer quality opponents for the big teams, so hopefully some huge upsets will be on the cards (Pun definitely intended 😉 )
 
Anything to make sure the US qualifies. I'm sure there will be some good early round matches, but this also means we'll also get more 5-0 type games.
 
2026 ? With the unstable , juvenile ,megalomaniacal leaders we have in power now ( Vladimir Putin, Kim il Jong + Donald Trump, etc ) we will be fortunate to have a functioning civilization/ecosystem in 10 years !
 
I think this is normal! since the quota European team clearly underestimated!
 
I don't like as far as sport but it will be really nice for sport bets, with very week teams and nationalism will bet on the losers. :beer:

For example, China as a country and their "Super League" that is just having millions and billions thrown at it
 
in the world Cup so there were many easy games, and now they add another 16 teams! Additionally, the matches of level as Burkina Faso - Panama promise to be veeeeeery veeery interesting 🙂
 
Money money and only money, nothing more does not interest them. The quality of football will go down hard. It's sad

Just like club football, teams are getting run more like businesses as the media and business of football is ever growing
 
I think, it is necessary to try. the average level of teams in the present is higher, than earlier. teams from South America and Europe will precisely add the competition.
 
The new format, officiated by FIFA on Tuesday, will not change the number of stadiums (12), nor its duration (32 days), nor the number of games of the finalists (7). But it will increase the number of games from the current 64 to 80.
 
why dont fifa doesnt decide to make 8 groups of 6 countries or 16 groups of 4 countries instead of groups of 3 in which 2 teams qualify?. thats nonsense because there is a bigger probability that at least 1 group will be defined by a coin toss unlike the previous format in which i think no group was ever defined by a coin toss.

The figurine album will almost become a phone book. I want to see who will be able to complete. 😀
 
It's good for the weaker teams, they get chance to challenge top teams and show themselves to the World. Since my team belongs to them, I support the idea. Plus more viewers, more money.

yeah, soon the qualification games will not be. Will be every four years the world Cup among all 164 FIFA teams 😀😀😀
