Hey everyone, hope you're doing well!

🇧🇷 Brazil vs. Norway: who takes the spot in the quarter-finals?

Now it’s the real knockout stage!

After eliminating Japan, Brazil faces an opponent they have—believe it or not—never managed to beat in their history: Norway.

📊 odds (estimated):

🇧🇷 Brazil: 58%

🤝 Draw (including extra time): 27%

🇳🇴 Norway: 15%

📖 Head-to-head record:

• 4 matches

• 2 Norway wins

• 2 draws

• 0 Brazil wins

In other words... Norway is one of the very few national teams that still holds a winning record against Brazil in head-to-head matchups.

The most memorable game was Norway's 2–1 victory in the 1998 World Cup.

But looking at current form, Brazil comes in with momentum, while Norway is banking mainly on the duo of Haaland and Ødegaard to pull off another surprise.

My prediction: Brazil 2–1, in a match that will be much tougher than many people imagine.

What about you? Who advances to the quarter-finals? 🇧🇷 or 🇳🇴

Looks like it's gonna be tough for Brazil, current squad isn't very impressive. They're still favourites tho

I think Brazil will win the 2nd or 3rd order European teams leave much to be desired

World Cup matches are always tough; even when we had better teams, winning was difficult. But I believe in my national team.

Brazil has also fallen short in recent years, but I will always believe in my national team.
, the match will be tough for both sides. Any result is perfectly acceptable—after all, they are two great teams.

I’m Brazilian, but Brazil doesn’t have any current players with real grit; they’re mercenaries who think about money first. On the other hand, the jersey carries a lot of weight—it comes down to who will win and advance to the next round, and I hope it’s Brazil.

Brasil también se ha quedado corto en los últimos años, pero siempre creeré en mi selección nacional.
El partido será difícil para ambos equipos. Cualquier resultado es perfectamente aceptable; al fin y al cabo, son dos grandes equipos.
I don't think it's acceptable for soccer fans in Brazil that their national team is left out in the 8th finals of a world cup against Norway

For me, Brazil wins. They are much better than Norway, and Norway's strength lies in their attack; in addition, they have wasted a lot of scoring opportunities.

Jokes aside, you aren’t entirely wrong.👍🏻

I think Brazil is the clear favorite : I am surprised that you say only 58%. I am rooting for Norway, cause A) I just like the team, and B) I placed a $100 wager on Norway to make the final four, a stupid bet I know, but I got +1800 on it....

I think Brazil will win, but I probably wouldn't risk placing a bet 🙂

It’s because, incredible as it may seem, Brazil has never beaten Norway in its history. Also, Brazil isn't as amazing as it used to be, and finally, the playing field in soccer is much more level today—there isn't such a big difference between most teams anymore.

There is a strong chance your bet will be a winner, although I am rooting hard for my Brazil.

I just checked and at Draftkings it's Brazil at -110 and Norway +170, so close, but Brazil is the clear favorite. There is also a wager for Norway to win in regulation time at +310. They'll have to play much better than their last game, where they looked sluggish...

I've always liked Brazil better, so I'm rooting for them, but they'll have to improve their game because the Norwegians are really strong right now. A fierce battle is expected.

I couldn't agree more; Brazilian football died a long time ago—the guys only care about money and fame.

A team of mercenaries.

A comfortable game for Brazil, 4x3 comeback win, with a penalty goal in the 120+6 minute.

I totally agree 👍 even tho I'm an 'outsider', I've followed and I'm a big fan of Brazil football in general not just the National Team... I believe Ancelotti wasn't the best choice to lead Brazil to a new era and tbh the country has so many great coaches... even with all this, I still think Brazil is one of the favorites to win the World Cup as no other National Team showed to be that much better than their competitors at this competition (maybe France with their insanely good players- especially in the attack * mainly Mbappe, Olise and Dembele); hopefully we'll see an entertaining match between Brazil and Norway - I think a bet on both teams to score looks good if you're a recreational sports gambler...

I dont care who advances as long as Norway scores in this match 🤔
