Which country would that be? If you're referring to Australia, the figure is a tiny bit lower than 200K daily new cases at the moment.

Australia is now living with Covid19, while all effort is still being made to stop the spread, a rise in daily new Covid19 cases was expected, the highest it ever got to was on one day, January 13th 2022 when it got to 153K.

Djokovic has received very fair treatment. People from his team are not everything well done.

I'm on Novak's side in this story

Reference Covid Non Vaccination - So this is the big story today in sports as the Australian PM himself intervened and as a result, Novac is facing deportation pending his lawyers lodging an appeal.

Why is this? Check out the link below for the full story?

What are your views here? I personally respect the Australian Government taking this stance but hey im no politician and i am sure this story will rumble on...
When a whole country is at war with a tennis player, it's funny😀

Yes, well said, it seems that Djokovic bothers everyone, everyone wants Nadal to finish career with the most Grand Slam titles 😀

Let it go my friend

My friend - its over, let it go 🙂

And for the record, Nadal will have a greater chance of grand slam titles if he remains vaccinated, Novak less so. Simple equation i am afraid.

ok, when you're all asking .. here's the explanation ..

😀
every country has its own rules and they should be f*****g followed. 🙄
it's like I invite you to my home and ask you to take off your shoes.. but you say NO ...! 😕😱

I thought they would still miss him, without him the tournament is weak

Novax is the first player to be knocked out of a Grand Slam tournament after missing only 2 shots.

It has nothing to do with a tennis player, and a hell of a lot to do with a selfish moron who thinks he is better than others.

So there is a conspiracy at hand, good to know.

It has nothing to do with a tennis player, and a hell of a lot to do with a selfish moron who thinks he is better than others.

... And when someone dont follow them & (accidentally) reveals it on some forum for example then certain people are automatically like "we are so proud of you" ... 🙄

I'm not anti-vaccine, I've taken both doses, but I'm totally against wanting to force an adult to get vaccinated, I think just testing them and following the protocols would be enough for him to play the tournament

No one was forcing him to get vaccinated. If he doesn't want to get the vaccine, he can stay out of Australia and not play in the tournament.

Unfortunately for Nole, France has announced the same restrictions and if he doesn't get vaccinated I'm afraid he won't play at Roland Garros either.

You have to respect the player's decision and also respect the laws of each country and how they deal with health care in these times of pandemic, everyone has the right to live their life as they want, even if it bothers others, free will is He calls and if he doesn't want to get vaccinated, that's fine, he is a person with obligations and rights, he knows what he is facing and will face the conclusions of his decisions.

Exercising free will is fine until you decide that your free will takes precedent over others

That's where Djokovic's juvenile attitude to vaccination was his undoing. Have at your free will in your backyard (where if we are talking Serbia he has obviously endangered others) but don't expect others to welcome you with open arms.

As has been noted a thousand times...if Djokovic was making a 'principled' stand, he could have stayed home in Serbia. He wanted to have his cake and eat it.

Does anyone believe that he could have played unvaxed if he handled this differently?

Well, he got the official medical exemption from the Aussie Tennis Association, so he could definitely have played if he had been allowed to stay in the country.

Getting through the border was his biggest obstacle. In that, he failed rather spectacularly.

I'm sure they tried really hard, but his "team" did a miserable job. Incorrectly filled in forms and statements that can be construed as prescient lies (probably not a legal term) will doom most Government applications if anyone is paying attention. And boy were people paying attention.

I don't.

Apart from mtl mile end's post above re the policing of the border, by the time the case was reviewed by the three judges (to see whether Djokovic had a legal leg to stand on) everyone, including the judges was well aware that Djokovic had openly disregarded Covid protocols whilst infected in Serbia in the period directly before flying to Australia.

As the Immigration Minister stated, he was not going to be allowed to be the poster boy for the anti-vaccination contingent on Australian soil.

The truth is that it is wrong for me to cancel the visa, no one should be forced to get vaccinated, they should only have been informed before that it would happen

The law is the same for the champions and the regular folk. Still, I will miss Djokovic at the Australian Open.

If you couldn’t get covid from taking the vaccine, then it would be a different story. But it’s not the case. It’s unfortunate governments are creating these rules and forcing people to get vaccinated. Everyone is in a different boat in terms of risk.

If he doesn't want to get vaccinated that is his right however misguided you just don't get to play .Easy solution

He should serve a ban instead of tennis balls for knowingly travelling with a positive covid test.
Not positive attitude.
