I think it might be pickleball. For example two new players came last month and one was a doctor and one was a nurse. They might have been in their late thirties or early forties. Within the first half hour one had fractured her ankle and the other had fractured her wrist. I have a feeling that they are done forever with pickleball.

Cycling is definitely underrated in terms of danger, high speeds, minimal protection, and rough terrain make it brutal. Personally, I’d also put combat sports like MMA or boxing up there, but cycling crashes can be just as devastating. It's not about contact, it’s about impact… and cyclists feel all of it.

Yep, road cycling is very underrated sport in many regards, its very tough, u fight not only your opponents, but also your inner weaknesses every second, escecially in the mountains.

And people die every year in pro races, descending 80-90 KM/H is no joke, especially with little protection, you don't see people in boxing or mma die, but those are considered tough sports unlike cycling.

I've seen some truly bizarre answers to this question and for sure - some debate exists over what we all think is a sport or isn't- but to answer the question - I definitely agree with cycling simply due to the descents, the speed of travel and the lack of protection plus the maniac roadside so called fans sometimes!
I would also put Ice Hockey up there despite all the protective equipment and lastly - an obvious one- boxing.

I think speed motorcycle racing is the most dangerous of them all.
Of those, the TT Isle of MAN is the most dangerous.
There are serious or fatal accidents almost every year.
But Rally is also quite dangerous, even for spectators.

If we’re talking about danger in terms of injuries and long-term risk, a few sports always come up:
Boxing / MMA – Head trauma, concussions, and long-term brain damage are common. The entire sport is about hitting and being hit.

What you say makes perfect sense, especially when a crash occurs; the cyclists involved suffer a lot of damage. I might also add American football; it's a very dangerous sport, and one I would never play.
