That was a really tough series with the Philadelphia Fillies. The Nats won the first game 4-1.
Then we lost 3 games that we were ahead in line late innings. The bullpen gave all 3 games
away, total loss of control. No one could get outs. Ouch. Now to Baltimore for 3 games.

Much better. The Nats won 2 of the 3 games in Baltimore. The Orioles won the first game 3-1.
Washington bounced back and took the second game 4-3 in 10 innings. Then, we took the rubber game 6-4. Now on to Boston for 3 games.

Boston was good to the Nationals. Washington lost the first game 6-3. Then, we won the second game 8-1 and today in an afternoon game we won by the great score of 10-2. The Nats are now 2 games over .500 again at 45-43. and home in DC for 3 games with the Pirates.

Sure has been hot in Washington, 101F yesterday. The Nats won the first game from the Pirates 9-5. Then lost the second game 7-1. Today, middle 90's temperature, and thunderstorms expected after the game. Washington and Pittsburgh were tied in the top of the eighth 4-4 and Pittsburgh scored 5 runs to go up 9-4. In Washington's half of the eighth, they got a home run from Crews to make it 9-5 but thats all. 2 more runs for the Pirates in the 9th to make it 11-5. Washington did not score and the final was 11-5. The Astros are here next for3 games.

Great series against the Astros. Washington won 2 out of the 3 games. We won the first game
in a slugfest,12-11. The next game went to the Astros, 6-3. Once again , in game 3, the bats were
alive and we won 8-2. Washington's top pitcher Griffin is now at 10-2. Off today, then the Yankees come to Washington for 3 games.

In the three game series this past weekend, the Nationals defeated the Athletics 2 games out of 3.
We won the first game by an amazing score of 23-4. Then the Athletics blasted Washington 15-1.
Washington won the game yesterday 5-2. Now on to Denver to play 3 games with the Rockies.

Washington won 2 of 3 games with the Rockies. Should have been 3. We won the first game 7-3.
We came up just short in game 2 and lost 8-7. In the last game it was a blowout and the Nats won
8-0. Day off today, then we are back in DC for a weekend series with the Diamonddacks.

Another good series. Washington lost the first game but came back and won the next 2 games for a 2-1 series win. We last 3-2, came back and won the next 2 games 5-3 and then 10-7. Now we
have the Blue Jays in town for 3 games.

Good news, bad news. Washington lost 2 of the 3 games with Toronto. We lost 3-2, then won
8-6, then lost today 5-2. Thats the bad news. The good news is that we got pitcher Trevor Williams
off the injured list. Hope he will be a big boost for the pitching corps. Next, 4 games with the
Atlanta Braves.

The trip to Atlanta was a disaster. The Nationals lost all 4 games to the Braves. We are now sellers at the trade deadline, today 8/3. Washington sent Luis Garcia to the New York Yankees for 4
pitchers. All future to the big leagues. They are certainly going to miss Garcia's bat. I hope the
pitching prospects work out in the future. Now in Philadalphia for 4 games.

We went to Philly and won one game and lost three. Terrible series for the Nats. Now we are home for 3 games with the Reds. We won the first game 5-3 and won the second game 8-2.
Today, just finished , we won 7-1 for a series sweep of the Reds. That makes 4-3 for the last 7
games. Next, the Chicago Cubs are in town for 3 games starting Tuesday.

Good and bad news for the Cub series. The Nationals lost the first two games of the three game set by
the scores of 8-6 and 12-6. The good news is that Washington won the last game 7-0. Cade Cavalli had
a fantastic game and pitched a 1 hitter against the Cubs, who did not get a hit until the 7th inning.
Way to go Cade! Now at New york for 3 games against the Mets.

The three game series with the Mets was a bust. Washington lost all three games, 4-1, 5-4, and 4-3.
We kind of came up short in the run column. The Nats are going to try moving CJ Abrams to second
base. Hopefully to cut down on his fielding and throwing errors. Needless to say his offensive skills
are great.

Last night, Abrahms did not play second base as planned because he injured his foot sliding into second base
the day before and sat out yesterday's game. The Nats ended up losing the series with the Rangers two games to one. We will see where he plays tonignt in Miami, where we have 3 games with the Marlins.

That was a rough series for the Nationals in Miami. We didnt have our top two hitters in the game because
of injuries, Wood and Abrams. We lost all three games, 3-2, 4-2 and 6-2, tough. Home now for 4 games with the Rockies.
