I remember those times. Going to gym 3-5 times a week, timing meals, counting protein grams...
Trying to make the young me to build some muscle and look like a man. But that was 35 years ago for me.
I still have some V-shape in my back because of it.

I have maintained a healthy, consistent routine for many years, basically around three times a week. This includes varied aerobic training to build endurance, as well as functional training to improve balance, strength, and agility. I also participate in sports competitions and sometimes i am rewarded for the dedication.

And now you completely stopped doing sport getting older? I see many elderly people going to the gym still and i think exercising is even more important the older u get if u not want to get completely stiff.

I don't go to the gym anymore but i exercise at home and outside. Cant imagine not exercising for more than a week honestly. Makes me feel incredible fresh and clear inside my mind.

After throwing some frisbee and playing pig on the basketball court and shooting 3 pointers, the 21 yr old grandson convinced me to play 1 on 1 basketball up to 5, win by one. I was winning 4 to 2 and blew out my Achilles tendon. So, currently I am on my 6th day of using crutches and badly missing my 6kto 10k steps day that I do 6 to 7 days a week. An unexpected present for my 66th birthday month.

Keep taking care of your body and our self healing machine will take good care of you for a long time.

I've had this happen on 3 separate occasions. Fortunately it was only a partial tear each time but it put me down for 5mos the first time. Both of my brothers had full tears where their feet were left just dangling. One was from a devastating ski wipeout in the backcountry whereas the other did it when he was just walking up the stairs at home. Mine too was real random when it happened... I was just walking up 2 steps as I came into my building one afternoon.
I hope you heal up quickly!

Sometimes shit happens and going to the gym is no longer beneficial. ie. I've been advised by my doctors to not lift anything that is even remotely 'heavy'. And we're not talking about avoiding 600lb+ deadlifts. Today for me, some gentle swimming is about the most I can do.

I was a workout addict. This pic. here is just 9mos clean & sober so basically just starting on a comeback of sorts and at around your age Dejana. Small here in this pic. but in pretty good shape. I typically would go around 240lbs. at 5'11"

I worked out from the age of 10yrs. old. Working out was a big part of my life when I was younger. I worked in gyms, (mgr. of Gold's Gym in Toronto), and later ran a personal training business. Most famous client was Reese Witherspoon.

I didn't say that. I just don't hit the weights as I used to. I try to do other things to keep myself in some sort of shape.

I remeber these guys :)
Years back, when visiting Munich we also went to Bavarian Filmstadt. Among many other things there was an opportunity to record a small piece of oneself as "acting with" these guys. Then one could just buy it from the gift shop on the way out.
Souvenir
But I got a bigger kick out of cathing a glimpse of Henriette Richter-Röhl during that visit.

Brain wont work at maximal capacity if u dont workout and a smart person would recognize that mind body and soul have to be in agreement with each other. Some kind of workout is essentially for everyone and if u dont have any injuries or other issues that hold u back then its a mistake not doing it.

Sure some kind of workout is beneficial.
But you don't have to lift weights or run to stay healthy.
I like saunas, it's a great way to boost someone's immune system and I do it regularely
That paired with a balanced diet and walks with my dog is enough for me and I am healthy with a little "Gemütlichkeitsbauch" which I don't wanna miss :)
