Do you ever rebuy into freerolls/ centrolls? If so, which ones?

I've noticed a few different freerolls have rebuys and addons, and there is always a few people that rebuy and/ or addon even when the math makes absolutely no sense.

For example, this BetAndSkill had 22 payers. This is baffling to me as the prizepool is $100 and there are 1417 entrants. In order to get into the point of paying your re-entry back you would need to place in the top 1% of players.

Not only that but just from a pure EV standpoint it's lighting money on fire. Assuming an equal distribution, each entrant has an expected value of roughly 7 cents when buying in for 3000 chips. This means the re-entry is overpaying by over roughly 7X and addons are 5X.

Most of the 888 Sat freebuys have addons and rebuys but the rebuys are cheaper and offer more chips. The addons give you substantially more chips and might be worth it assuming the field is thinned enough already. I think these make sense but the RaketheRake and BetAndSkill freeroll R&As seem like a total ripoff.

Is there ever a time when this makes sense or is it just people entirely incapable of doing math?

Only by mistake, or if the field is full of opportunities and we are close to end of late registration.

NI don't do it in freerolls.

I don't buy additional freeroll tickets, but sometimes I can buy an additional satellite ticket.

Hi all , in my opinion it just depends on your BR and the situation , stage of MTT , stack sizes etc .... I rebought yesterday only once and
managed to get to the FT , after 6hrs of play, I rebought maybe after 3hrs, stacks were still basically the same 100k.

Not a lot of point if you are chasing a freebie. No, definitely not.

For freerolls definitely not. A lot of new people at these tables.

It depends on the tournament, if the tournament is very good, yes I rebuy, but if the tournament doesn't have a good prize then it's not worth it.

Played some centroll yesterday - managed to only use 2/3 of possible rebuy's so me estimate i was playing with amateurs

Still reached FT there though..

I personally think you should never rebuy in these tournaments, since they almost always offer very few chips for a relatively high cost, at least in the tournaments I’ve seen. So from my side, I usually don’t rebuy.
