I prefer online games because they are still very emotional and I think they are sure to live and find the worst player that cards hold.

live tournaments are probably very hard.
you need a lot more patience concentration perseverance
online is easier.
as the saying goes: visiting is good, but home is better[emoji23]

I prefer live, it gives me the adrenaline when you are facing the opponents, see they're moves, the tilt moments, the jokes, things that don't appear on your screen.
Time passes so fast when you are on that world! I really enjoy.

I also prefer to play online, because you can play more tables, more poker rooms at the same time, and that means you have more opportunities to make money, unlike playing live.
I also believe that live poker is a bit boring to play online.:bandit:

Live over online any time, anywhere!
In general, the game is better live because of the possible reads, the talk among players, even the feeling is better when you hold chips, see the real stack sizes (literally), look at the dealer doing his thing etc.
The one thing I would say is not better in live tournaments, and this is solely based on tournaments I have played so far, is that they are almost all turbo, deepstack tournaments. 15min levels live are equal to 5-7mins online.

I prefer to play LIVE poker.. online poker is better because it is fast paced and you can MTT (multi-table tournaments), but LIVE you have a feel for the players and I feel like LIVE play is more skill involved than Online

Online you can multi-table and wear your pajamas. Live has far worse players on average. I wish I could multi-table live while wearing pajamas.

I play online, it's much more convenient for me (to be honest, it's just hard to find not-a-trash poker clubs to play offline).

I've never played in a live tournament. But I enjoy online poker. There's a casino that has a $50 buy Friday tournament I've been thinking about entering but since I've never played in live tournament I'm a little concerned my chip handling skills would bother other players. Going to try to get some friends together and play to get some practice at that. Maybe in a few weeks I'll try it.

Competition is way easier
($1/2 is easier than .01/02 imho online)

This is what makes me want to learn live... Online is so much more convenient, etc., but the idea of going up 100x in the stakes and going down in the skill level need is one juicy apple...

Definatley prefer online tournaments.

My name is Jason O Rourke. I'm an Irish poker playing fanatic. My advice. I find that online tournaments are a great place to learn about bet sizing (essential professional poker players tool). Study chapters on "bet sizing" and "your opponents card holding range" These will help you a lot.

Then carry what you've learnt through observation of your online opponents bet sizing and card holdings into a live tourney. In live tournaments you do have the advantage of "live tells". But live tells are the last thing I look for in a live tournament. Firstly I put my opponent on a range of possible card holdings. Then I evaluate their bet sizing. Finally I look for a live tell. And then I make my move. Enjoy

Go play cash until you feel comfortable.

Live

Live poker is ideal. I get better reads on people and technology isn't a factor.

I would have said I like not having the clocks to wait through, but I recently had a cash game with a guy who sat and waited 60+ seconds on every hand at every decision.

The online game to make volume because live and complicated and the variance would make it impossible to be profitable !!!

It's more fun live, but if you want to live on poker, it's better online because of the variance.

hi hi
i have never ever played live *yikes*
i would be terrible at it, i get too excited and am easily intimidated
plus i a student so tight on monies and i doubt i could play for free or $3 in a casino?
also being a blonde i have trouble maintain focus, so i need play 3-4 tables at once to stay focussed, else i impatient and want play (anything hahaha)
plus i enjoy my poker huds and the useful data collected on players i play against regularly
so for me it's only ONLINE - i luv it!

I prefer online tournaments. I would also be interested in taking part in a live tournament, but for the time being I have no such opportunity.

Hi.
Unfortunately, I have no opportunity to participate in live tournaments, so in fact I play only in online tournaments.
Good luck.
