I enjoy playing online over live. Smaller buy ins with decent payouts, but I can see issues with cashing out deterring people. Also late registration can draaaagggg.

I prefer online, for a several reasons:

1. I can buy in a lot less cheaper online than I can live.
2. Its harder for the players at the table to get a read on me.
3. I can play in more than 1 MTT at a time, useally 2 simaulaniously.
4. The payout based on the wager is useually better.
5. I don't have to get dressed, I can have an adult beverage and play in my boxers.
6. Save fuel because I don't have to drive 20 miles to get to the casino.
7. I don't have to tip.
8. My food is what I have and if I want I can order delievery for cheaper than the casino.

The Smallest buyin I have seen at the casion is $50.00 for MTT

That's one thing that I have yet to experience. Have never played a Live Tournament. I should look at some local calendar or something with events in my area, and for once go try it.

I've played live only a few times so far but I totally loved it.

Except, sometimes it's unclear how many players are in a hand or (my biggest problem) stack size in BB's for everybody at the table.
It's also a bit hard to keep sharp concentration from 5 pm to 1 am when a final table of a small mtt is being played because you don't have your notes or stats, or a replay of showdowns).

Just treat live tournaments as an entertainment activity which might bring some return on investment (don't do it with $10k buy-in hehe).

live because that's actually poker not a poker video game witch is what online poker really is its a completely different animal n requires a different approach...cant hardly remember loosing with a full house live more than couple times..but many times online once today so its all about folding hands that would usually win live...and i am good at reading body language one of the biggest skills of a poker player witch totally gets lost online.

I cannot compare, because I have never played live tournaments, but I want to try and compare how they differ because I don’t believe in the quickness of online card distribution.

I love both but play mostly online. I can’t afford to play in the casino for $250 to 300 events when And if they have one and it’s not on a work day. They do have at my local casino Monday to Thursday game in the morning but why do I want to take a day off to plsy against 10 ti 15 people. With online I can play daily and afford it.

Offline poker is much more interesting than online poker, since there is communication, but offline it is impossible to play the necessary distance. Offline, you will not make many mistakes due to the fact that you play one table, and online, usually people are multi-tabular and because of the large number of tables, the game is often played on a machine.

I would rather play live its a much better game , you dont get all the craziness that online brings and when it does its much easer to handle like when you get beat by that one outer its much easier to handle live than when it happens online it doesnt feel like it was pulled out of thin air just to get you:heeeellll

I want to participate in live tournaments but not yet possible.
although in online games for me more freedom of action in everything. In the live series, you need a lot more endurance and patience

Personally i always prefer online poker. Chance to play 2-3 table at the same time is definitely better.

Definitely online. Playing live tournaments you play only 1 table, while sitting at the computer you can download a lot more. This evens out the variance, and besides, you can use the software.

Both are good. Online has the convenience side, however, if the internet drops you lose all your investment. Live has the side of contact with people, however, if the bathroom is interdicted, has too much queue (you need to lose some hands), or no water to drink, this becomes a problem.

It depends
Online you can play several tournaments and have more options to buy in and also unlimited prizes.
But the thrill of playing a live tournament is unmatched.

Both. The tournament online is more comfortable you play in your home or wherever you see fit makes volume tables or play a few tables like how to develop your game
But the live tournament you interact with people which makes it too cool

So both have their space with me

I rather play online, its easier to multi-table, and the play is much faster.
