I listen to music almost every minute, and even while playing poker, It doesn't bother me. But there are times (at the final table) when you need to focus and I pause the music for serious moments.

When I play poker online, the only distractions I get are the sounds of cards being dealt, background noise, bets, and dealer messages. )

Music helps me with patience if it is calm music, but I have to stay away from anything epic sounding, because it makes me even more of a calling and bluffing station.

In online tournaments I rarely use music because, I don’t hear anymore like before

but it can be useful for the opponent to think so :smile:

Anything more than 1 table, especially boost, I turn music off to focus. Maybe some focus music would help though, or possibly put me to sleep

Music helps me to play better both online and live, it makes me have the passion that I should have for a long tournament and it works for me.

I do not play offline, but during online session I usually listen music. Sometimes, when i have to concetrate, i can stop music.

At Foxwoods they usually had music playing in the background over the speakers and if it was something I enjoyed I would often, mildly, dance in my seat.

Music at live play is nice but there's conversation which distracts from the music (unless you're wearing headphones or earbuds and you're in your own world). At home playing online music is almost a requirement just so my neighbors don't hear me cursing a bad beat :argh::laugh:

I usually have music or a movie going in the background. Other times nothing but the sound of my fish tank water power filter. It's a relaxing sound of water flowing.
