Hello CardsChat Community,

Today I played my very first tournament on WPT Global through Casino.org, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone. This daily freeroll runs every day at 2:00 PM Colombia time, and since it was my first time playing on the platform, I wasn't sure what to expect. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by both the software and the level of competition. I managed to finish in 52nd place out of a field of 542 players, surviving until approximately Level 13 or 14.

One of the things I am currently working on improving is patience and hand selection. In the past, I often played too many marginal hands, especially in freerolls. Recently, I have been trying to focus on entering pots with stronger starting hands, paying close attention to position, and avoiding unnecessary confrontations. My strategy during this tournament was to wait for good opportunities and become more aggressive only when I believed I had a significant advantage or when the blind levels made it necessary to fight for chips.

Several hands stood out during the tournament. One of my favorites was winning with A♥K♥ against A♦J♥ after getting the money in with a strong equity advantage. Another important hand came when I called an all-in holding A♦K♥ against pocket Tens and A♠7♠ in a three-way pot. The board brought an Ace on the river, allowing me to triple up and continue building my stack. I also managed to extract value with A♦Q♦ after improving and won a sizeable pot with 9♠7♠ when my opponent overplayed K♥10♣. These hands reminded me how important it is to remain patient and trust good decisions, even when variance is involved.

Although I did not reach the final table, I consider this tournament a positive experience and a good start on WPT Global. More importantly, I felt that my decision-making was much stronger than in previous months. I am trying to focus less on short-term results and more on making consistently good choices throughout a tournament. I would be interested to hear from other players who regularly play these Casino.org freerolls on WPT Global. How would you describe the player pool, and what adjustments have worked best for you in these events?

I've played this freeroll a few times. The good thing about it is that some players at the beginning of the tournament don't mind putting all their chips in with very weak hands, which makes it easier to accumulate a lot of chips.

That's a great first experience.
Finishing 52nd out of 542 runners in your first tournament on a new platform is definitely respectable.
More importantly, you got deep enough to experience the different stages of an MTT and see how the dynamics change as stacks get shorter.
Freerolls can be chaotic early, so navigating through that field and making it to the later levels is an achievement in itself.
Hopefully it's the first of many deep runs on the platform. Good luck in the next one!

Hi Roller, good evening. It's a pleasure to greet you. Thank you very much for your feedback. I also think it's a good place to hold the first tournament. I send you my best regards and hope to see you at the tables.

He jugado este freeroll varias veces. Lo bueno es que a algunos jugadores, al principio del torneo, no les importa apostar todas sus fichas con manos muy débiles, lo que facilita acumular muchas.
Hello DaMooca, good evening. Yes, I've noticed in all the freerolls I've been playing daily that it's chaotic at the beginning because many players like to make absurd all-ins because they don't value their chips. That's something I try to take advantage of, and I only enter that game when I really have competitive cards like a double ace, double king, or AK. Otherwise, I don't participate in those plays; instead, I try to be as cautious as possible to gain positions, win very, very viable hands, and let people be eliminated on their own while I accumulate chips and blinds.

They are the best way to create a bench and be able to climb the levels, the truth is one of the ones I recommend the most and the emotion is undoubtedly in the last levels before the final table, it's incredible.

Today I had the opportunity to play the Casino.org Daily Freeroll on WPT Global for the second time, and I wanted to share an update on my progress.

A couple of days ago, I played my first event on the platform and finished in 52nd place out of 542 players. Even though I didn't make it very far, the tournament gave me valuable information about the field, the pace of play, and some mistakes I was making during key stages of the tournament.

For this second attempt, I focused on applying what I learned. I played fewer hands, paid more attention to position, avoided unnecessary confrontations, and tried to preserve my stack for situations where I had a stronger advantage. I also concentrated on thinking in big blinds rather than chips, which has helped me make better decisions during the middle and late stages of tournaments.

The adjustments paid off. This time I managed to finish in 25th place and earn a small cash prize. While it is not a huge result, I am happy with the improvement because it shows that learning from mistakes and making small adjustments can produce better outcomes in a very short period of time. Going from 52nd to 25th place in only two days gives me confidence that I am moving in the right direction. My goal now is to continue studying, improving, and hopefully make a final table in one of these events soon.
