Is late registration worth it?

What's everyone's opinion on late registration in MTTs?

Sometimes I like registering early because I can play with a deeper stack and get a better feel for the table. On the other hand, late registration can save time and sometimes gives you a chance to enter a tournament without playing the very early levels.

The downside is obviously starting with a smaller stack relative to the blinds.

Do you normally register as soon as the tournament starts, or do you prefer registering later?

I almost allways do late registration. But then you need to play agressive.

I feel late registration depends on which kind of tournament you getting into - like if it has no add-ons or rebuys its better to start from the beginning of the games.. But like I have seen some tournaments which offer add ons just before the registration is over - I have seen players come in right at that minute to enter where they now buy in to the tournament and buy an add on - and just like that they have more chips than you lol!! ...
