I 1050$
Personally, I like going all in in those positions, especially when it's the bubble. Of course, it's unlucky when you get paid and they win the hand.veryluckyfish7k said:I've played 400$ tournament. Got into that by step sat from 4$ to 40$ and from 40$ to 400$, sadly i didn't go through day1 ended AA vs 98s. Pre flop I 3bet player from UTG he opened 98s, after my 3bet he called. then on the flop 1072 he checked raised my C-bet, i made mistake made went all in against his check raise and he called. well AA couldn't hold the board and man hit his straight draw on the turn J came and ruined my plan....
I also play tournaments with prizes under $22. When the prizes are higher, I play satellites or win tickets in freerolls. In the $1050 tournament, I was lucky enough to survive the bubble, recover my investment, and make a small profit.M6O6U6 said:I usually play microstakes, but my biggest buy-in is for the $1,000,000 GG Master tournament, for $150.
I won various tickets. The most expensive one was for $320. But the buy-in that I made with real money from my balance, the maximum was probably $11.Coolcassv9. said:I 1050$
I paid for the $1050 tournament because I was on the best winning streak of my entire poker career. Fortunately, I made the money. The best thing to do is play in satellites to qualify for bigger tournaments.Ruslan L said:I won various tickets. The most expensive one was for $320. It's frustrating when you play tournaments like this and your hands just aren't going your way, but I encourage you to keep trying.SergioV said:I recently won a $109 ticket to a $100k tournament. I played very poorly and lost my entire stack in four hands, but I'm still playing freerolls and microstakes.
I dont usually play high buy-in poker tournaments, since they are a bit outside my comfort zone. Most of the time I stick to smaller games and freerolls just for fun. But I did get pretty lucky on PokerStars once and managed to win a few hundred dollars worth of tournament buy-ins through freerolls alone. That felt like a huge win already. I even took a shot with a 100 dollar buy-in ticket and somehow lucked into min cash payout, which was a nice little confidence boost and bankroll pump.Coolcassv9. said:I 1050$
Yes, friend, that's how I started playing freerolls. To be honest, I don't like them much because of so many people. In my case, I quickly moved on to $3.30, $5.50, $11, and $16.50 tournaments, and that's how I've made poker profitable.oroochimaru said:I dont usually play high buy-in poker tournaments, since they are a bit outside my comfort zone. Wow, I normally pay a maximum of $33, the $1050 one was one of those times you go crazy and do it.Emily Trott said:A few of the live ones I've played have been in the $250 to $275 range.
Yes, at the moment I am only playing freerolls, but in the second half of the year I want to save some money and, like you, gradually start playing real money buy-ins again. As you said, the number of players in regular freerolls is way too high and I no longer have the time to play 6-8 hours of freerolls just to win $1 to $10.Coolcassv9. said:Yes, friend, that's how I started playing freerolls. Notice that 888 has a large number of very fast freerolls; if I play them, I'll just win something and invest it in satellites.oroochimaru said:Yes, at the moment I am only playing freerolls, but in the second half of the year I want to save some money and, like you, gradually start playing real money buy-ins again. I've never paid more than $5.50. To be able to make a bigger buy-in, you need to have a corresponding bankroll. Unfortunately, mine is always relatively small.Coolcassv9. said:I 1050$
