Been a pretty good start back so far - this hand made my head hurt, seemed like a good fold at the time...i dunno maybe played the turn/flop all wrong? I put him on AJ or flush/straight draw.

had a few hundred hands on villian who seemed reasonable player, and he insta shoved turn, hence the fold.

Maybe it is a leak of mine but I would have found it difficult to fold there, there was a flush draw and straight draw there, however still only draws and something he could be betting to get people of. I could see in that situation an AJ, or bigger KK or AA hand. Yes there is the possibility of the JJ or 99 I suppose, guess might have a better idea if having played against him.
Essentially all you should be fairing at that point however is 99 or JJ, so I personally would have a difficult time folding it which of course sometimes difficult to fold the set given the odds of set over set situation.

That does look to be a tricky one Scottish, he certainly showed no signs of slowing down and with no stats on him making it a little more difficult for sure. I might have considered a flop or turn raise tbh, possibly even a pre 4-bet and of course determine from there (you could have been 3-bet pre with AK or even 1010 for that matter given we don't know anything about his range).

On the flop he throws out a cbet of which you just call so he has to figure you didn't improve, and a 2nd barrel per the turn and maybe he finally gets there or reps the A on the river. Always the possibility he had you all the way with the QQ+ but nothing to really tell us he did or didn't overall.

I deff would have been more inclined to raise either the flop or turn then going to the river and thinking about a hero call when an A anything got there. Just my thought

All right so I seriously considered just jamming flop but wasn't sure so I went with the standard B/F. Their continuation range from the flop is going to be so narrow IMO. I'd put CO at JJ only and BTN at 66/JJ and exceptionally rarely KJ or some shit. I feel a jam could maximize fold equity in the odd case that they have something else and allow us to realize our equity vs the nutted end of their range. Can someone break this down for me please?

AJ, I assume we think he has more AK than air here??

J7s, seems fine. Both flatting and raising flop seem like fine lines.

AQ, I know we just turned an open-ender, but didn't most of his range just improve? If he was playing pair+draw he most likely just made two pair. If he was playing a straight draw he either just made top pair or got there. I might be being results oriented because he raised, but I'm struggling to see what we get folds from.

5. Bet the turn, since we get called by Jx a ton. As played riv has to be a bet, and sizing looks fine for trying to get hero'd.

6. It may only be 35 hands, but BB is shaping up to be nitty, so I might just fold the flop, but after I flop raise, I'm not firing the turn on a card that doesn't scare anything in his range.
