The past few weeks, close to it!

Although I don't expect that to last at such a high win rate , but I'll take it while it lasts. Important to develop a reasonable plan when running hot to balance that with when the deck goes cold.

Negative Salary

I lose money on poker, at least so far. So no, I don’t have a negative salary. Thank God

Doesn't match at all. Salary is a reliable income. Poker. it is always an accident. And it is impossible to make money regularly in poker. But I have never won more than a salary at a time.

No way, not even close. My salary pays the bills and makes sure I don't end up homeless. My poker bankroll is for fun. If I ever get to the point where I'm making more money (bills included) than my real job, I'd be crazy not to quit and pursue poker full time.

But for now it's a happy hobby!

very much this. I have a very successful career and I'd have to play nosebleed stakes and crush them to compare. so for me low-to-mid stakes is where I grind

I don't think i will ever make as much money as i did working for one of the largest company's in Canada playing poker, but it sure is fun trying and i will never give up trying :D with that said i did make $200 playing online poker and $500 playing live poker last week so i'm doing okay with my retirement dream and that's all that matters to me :)

Not until my winnings are not equal to my salary. To win in line with my salary, I need a perfect skill and luck, which I strive to achieve by playing in various micro tournaments.

If you had more money, would you make more money (in poker)?
Why not look into getting some backing?

No , and unfortunatelly I see winnings are far less than before , from games , also from freerolls , I have left my gameplay without any evolvement , progress , although I needed a lot of study , even from the beginning of my poker career , also 1-2 years ago , now players have taken the action to another level , in buyin games , in the freerolls , either i also evolve , or else I will get tired playing poker , eventually . To keep on doing sth you need good reason and instant or future rewards , when punishment is not at stake :)

I hope so, coz my salary is quite up there...but im not comfortable with high stake poker yet...as much as my understanding of the game is growing, i still prefer crushing the micro stakes!

Poker

It all depends on winning in poker, for example, a player from my country Ukraine managed to win a WCOOP tournament in online poker and earn over $ 120,000 (the average salary in Ukraine is $ 390.29) - and this, I think, is many times higher than the salary:cool::cool::rolleyes:
