can anyone help a hold em manager retard out? would be much appreciated

every time i start importing on stars, i get this pop-up warning:

"Please note that you have 1094 hand history files in your auto import folders and this could cause performance issues. Please move files no longer in use or have Holdem Manager automatically move them after import by editing your Auto Import Folder settings."

i'm pretty sure it's slowing down my computer. how do i get HEM to automatically move these files? when i go to configure auto-import folders, the only options are to delete a folder or create a new folder. or how do i move them myself?

Delete your current Stars folder, then Create a new one. The option to automatically move them will be on the create new folder dialog box.

oh awesome, that did the trick. i didn't realize the only way was to first delete the folder, was afraid that might destroy the universe or something

thanks dude!

? Look at the area of your graph between hands 9,300 and 15,000. Clearly, you've played smaller stakes in this area, so the $$ graph will not show you an accurate representation of your performance. Why? Because the cards don't give a damn what stakes you play.

Looks crazy

Yeah ok I hear ya, but donking around on a 2nl CC table and learning how to stack at 10nl isn't really an accurate description of my play either..

Looks crazy

Today I had lunch with a good friend who told me he's been having success lately with multi-table SNGs on Full Tilt. The reason? His new strategy after winning with a hand like TT vs. JJ (hitting his set) is to dump something like QQ preflop on the next hand -- because those types of hands never win twice in a row. He also explained that as it gets later in the game, pots are more frequently awarded to players with bigger stacks and worse hands in order to move the action along.

My jaw was on the floor, and yes, I did give him five lashes for the queen-dumping strategy, as well as reiterating that each hand is a separate, random event. This is a smart guy and the person who introduced me to poker! His brilliant and logical wife has also told him he's delusional, but he's clinging to "online poker is rigged" theories. Sigh....

Ya it's just one of those hands where there's nothing you can do but say you pretty much played it right. My actual read on his hand was 88, oh well.

I'm half crying, half lol-ing.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, I think I played the hand perfectly.

everyone's gotta start somewhere. a buy-in is a buy-in at any limit, and if you're winning that many of them you're crushing the game! that's not something most people can do at any stakes period, so you're definitely on the right track. no shame in feeling good about it, keep it up

@ shrog: ow, i feel your pain bro. that happened to me for the first time in my life in january, a 1 outer with 1 to come. not much fun

I just took my dog on a walk and as he was taking a huge crap it reminded of how i've been running and I realized that it all started when I did my 25 Billionth Hand Deposit bonus. Interesting right? Right. Well I am 500 VPPs away from clearing that thing, and from memory others typically go on an epic boomswitch run after its cleared.

So - goal for today is clear the bonus.

Without going into much strat here, I think my flop call is fine tbh.
I put him on a K 80% of the time and I think 3betting flop will scare him off.

Oh well..

BTN: $47.20 (188.8 bb)
SB: $34.60 (138.4 bb)
Hero (BB): $25 (100 bb)
MP1: $9.70 (38.8 bb)
MP2: $26.20 (104.8 bb)
MP3: $6.35 (25.4 bb)
CO: $25.70 (102.8 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BB with T:club: T:spade:
MP1 folds, MP2 raises to $1, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.10) K:heart: 2:club: T:diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $1, MP2 raises to $3, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($8.10) J:club: (2 players)
Hero bets $4.60, MP2 calls $4.60

River: ($17.30) Q:heart: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $7.35, Hero calls $7.35

Results: $32 pot ($1.55 rake)
MP2 showed K:club: A:club: (a straight, Ten to Ace) and won $30.45 ($14.50 net)
Hero mucked T:club: T:spade: (three of a kind, Tens) and lost (-$15.95 net)

I'm usually betting more on the turn, but getting it in on the flop is nice imo.

river's a fold enty. nobody ever valuebets two pair there and there's nothing in his range for him to bluff, you're definitely not good 20% of the time

also yes, bet more if you lead turn. you said you put him on a K. well no K in his range is folding for 6.50

While I agree getting it in on flop is nice. I don't think he will do that with TPTK. He's too tight/TAG..
Bet more on turn, gotcha.

And combu: I'm having real difficulty folding river bets like that. I'm always like: fk it, I've put this much in the pot, fk it, call !

Crazy session..

Not long after that I get this, it has been a while.
Not long after this, I get set < set.. :x

MP2: $46.85 (187.4 bb)

SB: $25 (100 bb)
BB: $6.20 (24.8 bb)
UTG+1: $34.85 (139.4 bb)
MP1: $26.35 (105.4 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is CO with 6:spade: 6:heart:
4 folds, Hero raises to $1, BTN folds, SB raises to $3.50, BB folds, Hero calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.25) 2:heart: 5:heart: 4:heart: (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero raises to $21.50 and is all-in, SB calls $16.50 and is all-in

Turn: ($50.25) 3:heart: (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($50.25) 3:spade: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: $50.25 pot ($2.45 rake)
SB showed Q:diamond: Q:club: (two pairs, Queens and Threes) and lost (-$25 net)
Hero showed 6:spade: 6:heart: (a straight flush, Two to Six) and won $47.80 ($22.80 net)

Thats something I'm really struggling with of late, chk/fold and bet/fold actions on the river. I always say to myself...'don't call' and like 99% of the time I do :(.
