Finally got off my ass and played some hands. God I love Sundays.

Edit : I also realized last night that I'm probably gonna make $500 this month, which is pretty sick since I started the month with like $70 in my account and at 2nl.

~Serioulsy why do the i-donker donks think slow playing every single overpair on all streets is a good idea. And I'm wondering why c-bets dont work there.

I started out very early (5:30am) this morning on stars and was doing very well. I was up 9.5 buy ins for a while and then I hit around 800 hands and it went to shit! I lost 6 buy ins in 100 hands getting it in good for the most part.

This seems to happen to me a lot. I play well for the first hour or so, then it seems like I start dropping and can't stop. The first couple of buy ins I think "Well, just some bad luck, it'll come back" but it doesn't. I guess I should just stop after I lose a couple. Idk.

well if your up 10 buyins in an hour, its pretty evident that you are running absurdly hot, so you should expect the other side of the coin and to lose a lot of those buyins, so you shouldn't let it bother you as its expected

Yeah, but when I'm running that hot, I don't like to quit. I wanna keep on keepin' on. But then I lose most of it before I can tear myself away and tell myself that it was all a dream.... just a dream.

remember there is no such thing as sesisons or whatever though. If you win 10 buyins in an hour then leave, if you continue and lose 8 buyins its just meh, doesnt matter. However if you had stopped after winning the 10, what do you think would have happened when you returned? Whenever you had restarted, you would have dropped the 8 buyins anyway. Remeber there is no such thing as session or buyins in poker, its all hands and bb/100 or $/hr, they are your only measurements

LOL at the 2+2 thread on the UB bad beat jackpot hand. FFS 5c short of a 350K payday because they checked it down.

I still don't understand why they would check down even if they didn't realize the bbj had a minimum. The only way betting would hurt the royal flush is if the other guy had exactly the one combo that was a straight flush, and also folded it. Pretty sure the ev of a value bet is higher than the ev that the other player has the straight flush and misclick folds.

lol even without thinking in terms of ev you don't think they'd indirectly realize "wow the odds of him having a straight flush are very small and he probably won't fold even if he does have it, I'll bet my royal flush instead of checking it behind"?

make sure to not bluff this guy in the future. lol at calling on a 4-straight board with 2nd pair. Although in his defense it's probably pretty much the same as top pair or even a set because I doubt you shove TP/set here. But I guarantee you he's not thinking about that lol.
