YSY! Yesterday I finally had my first really good day this month. Ran at 20BB/100 while 12 tabling 100nl. That felt good...

I'll be traveling for work most of this week and won't be able to play poker, but i'll move back up to 200nl next weekend now that i got some confidence back.

I was inspired by Belgo's post to put in a lunchtime session, the first since last thursday morning. It was soul crushing. I'm ready to join ChuckTs on the top of a tall building and plunge to my death (poker wise). the thought of cashing out and stop going through this and never going through it again has never felt more appealing.

This session I was only $40 below ev at 50nl over 295 hands. I think this month I am around $600 total (13k hands split between 100 and 50nl).

This session I had KK<AA AIPF. This session I 3bet huge with QQ, all rag flop, stacked off, he hit a set in 77 for a full stack. Had a guy that 3bets 25% over 100+ hands 3bet me and I have AK suited and he had a half stack so I shove he calls, he shows QQ for a flip, fair enough, but I lose.

Anyways ... at this point I:

1) Can't defend playing poker anymore in terms of it being worth my time

2) Have absolutely no desire to play on pokerstars ever again

3) Have no desire to "pick through" my HEM hand histories to watch these atrocities over and over again

4) Can't find a reason to play online poker.

No question. I can say it's like a form of torture where you are constantly receiving slow but noticeable jolts of pain. And it just keeps coming, over and over and over ...

Agreed it mathematically (or paranoid-doomswitch-belief) cannot happen forever, but at some point enough is enough.

Wow. That really sucks ice. It sounds like you're having a real bad time of it. I don't really know what to say that may help. You are an excellent player. We all know that, we've seen you're videos/graphs etc. But more importantly, you know that you're a great player. You are an such an asset to this site and it would be such a shame to lose you. I really hope you find some inspiration to play

LOL, so true! I'm going through a mini resurgence atm, and I mean mini!

Ice what works for one might not work for you. Take some time out, like at least 2 weeks and make some decisions then. Have you thought about coaching? Maybe after a decent break, feeling refreshed, with new focus after some coaching you'll feel a whole lot better about the game.

Lovely massive grind today (for me at least), just a shame that I could'nt win with AK, and when your playing bad shovey shortstackers you need to win your fair share with it. Winning a stack calling a river shove with 22 was awesome (+1 for good note-taking).

+$35 in rake back translates into a small profit.

I seriously don't get why CC is so uptight about posting 2p2 links here? Do people seriously think we are competing with them and that if people view threads over there they're less likely to post/view threads here? He did pm me the link and it's a pretty good thread (haven't read the entire thread, but the OP is pretty spot on although woulda been nicer if he'd elaborated more instead of waiting for questions to elaborate).

Let me get this pretty clear right now.

Posting specific 2+2 links, in particular links to poker strategy articles are totally acceptable as long as the same information is not available here on cardschat. Ie posting a link to a wa/wb article that is there for all to see in the archives. Posting silly links to bbv stuff is also a bad idea, but good stuff like this is fine.

Yeah, it's a pity the thread fizzled out tbh, b/c it would have been awesome to discuss some of the topics mentioned. He left us all hanging a bit tbh.

Also I agree with the 2p2 links stuff. Lets face it there's a clear line between that site and this. So it's not like were gonna lose members to it. Most of us are members anyways there, but still use this site as their main site.
