Cigarette or beer , drug , alcohol can be addicted , but i do not think poker make you addicted , poker is interesting in the point when you are lost , you will gonna to play again and in the any game subdue victory is a most expected thing ,

I play freerolls and I'm probably addicted to freerolls. Thanks to freerolls, I increase my bankroll and improve my skills. Freerolls give me pleasure. Playing freerolls is my favorite hobby.

I think there’s a line with everything. I play to make a little extra cash for the most part. If you’re sacrificing anything to play poker it’s probably not healthy.

I have been interested in poker for many years. I had a psychological addiction a long time ago when I wasn't working, but not now. I could sit quietly at the game all day and not notice it. Today I have my main job, and poker is entertainment with friends and online in my free time.

Well i think i really cant because i dont even play with my money,i only play CC freerolls and virtual chips on PokerStars.I do tend to spend a lot of time on poker sometimes,but i think its irrelevant how much time you spend on poker if you have copleted all of your tasks for that day.

I don't mind if people think I am addicted to Poker, Because I will admit that I am, But if someone said I was addicted to gambling, I would deny it emphatically because I am not addicted to gambling.
People always use the excuse that Poker is gambling, therefore I must be addicted to gambling and my response to anyone is "It is only Gambling when you are losing, and because Poker has not cost me a single red Cent, How can it be gambling?"
I have never made a deposit on any Site, I have won on several different site's and I still have a decent bankroll with Pokerstars that has cost me nothing to accrue, so what am I gambling with? Money that was never mine to begin with.
Yes I will admit I have bought into Live games in Pubs and Casino's But I have cashed in more tournaments than I have lost, and the cash I have won over and above my buy-in stakes is still in my safe, minus money I have spent on my wife and kids.
Gambling at any level, is in my mind only a problem when it affects others around you, Family and Friends, when you approach them for help with bills and everyday expenses by lending you money then you have a problem. Then it becomes time to look at yourself and identify why you need to borrow money to survive.
I once, many years ago, found I was doing this when I was addicted to Horse racing, and being single had not found it to be a problem because I was always bailed out by Friends and Relatives, but once I became serious about a relationship I had with one girl I decided to stop and told her "I was prepared to share the highs when I was on a winning streak, but not the lows when I was losing"
We married 45 years ago, and are still together, because I beat the addiction. So Yes I am a Poker Addict! but I don't Gamble.

Everything seems to be okay with me with self-control and therefore I always play responsibly and am not afraid to lose a lot! Short answer: Probably. There have been situations where I end up regretting my decision to play poker instead of using that time to spend accomplishing other goals. It is important to maintain balance and time management has always been difficult for me.

20 years ago i was played at lease 8 hours a day 7 days a week couldnt get enough now day 2or3 days a week maybe 4 hours.

Yes, I am addicted to poker and love it so much but not to the point of gambling, bankruptcy and sleeplessness, anyone can be. I love and want to play poker as much as I can every day if I can, but work doesn't let me. Good luck.
