I am a tournament player. For me this is the most interesting and exciting poker game. But I play a variety of other forms of poker.

For me it just depends on what type of cash table I am playin. I will play 1/2 NLHE at the casino most of the time just because the group there are good players and make me play better overall, but if there are of loose drunk agro players I will go home and play freezeout type tourneys low buy in or freerolls and build my BR

I play zoom cash games. It's very fast-paced so I don't get bored, but it's also got the benefits that cash games offer:
1) I can start and finish my session whenever I want, which is very convenient
2) I can close the browser instantly whenever I get tilted (no pressure to keep playing and continue the tournament)
3) My winnings are relatively frequent and consistent (compared to the extreme variance in MTT's), so I can know what my win rate is
4) I never have to sit on a table where I'm playing for 4 figure amounts... I seriously couldn't handle the stress if the difference between 1st and 2nd place was over $1k. Like, how do you stay calm when you're at the final table of a huge MTT and you've got 500 buyins at stake? That one outcome affects everything and outweighs anything else that will happen to you for months later. I'd rather have every session matter equally than a whole bunch of pointless sessions, then one life-changing session.

If the tournament had good value then I don't mind. The grind can be too much sometimes. Cash is more instant in rewards.

I'm primarily a tournament player. In tournaments, constantly changing environment. Change the players at the table. Grow blayndy.Na each stage of the tournament sets different tasks. What does the participation in the tournament interesting. In cash games I just get bored. The same players at the table. Frozen blinds. All monotonous. All sit and wait for a good hand. Rarely it happens stealing the blinds. And generally monotonous game.

That's why I have a question arose. Do you like to play in a cash game? Can you play many tables at once? Or do than ever during cash games?

I do enjoy playing in a cash game that's if I won money in a free roll. which I have not had any luck lately in the free rolls.

I hate Cash games, always get pushed to go in with something I wouldn't normally go in with in tournament play. Always seem to lose, over and over again. Not for me!

Cash games are not so much all-in and bluff.

I play both. Generally I'll play one or the other during a given period of time. Once I get burnout and start playing poorly, I'll hop the fence to the other format. As far as a profit rate is concerned, cash games provide the highest $$/hour for a well rounded player.

Well it seems that well over 80% of the people that answered prefer tournament play. That was not counting the guy who opted for Snakes and Ladders.

I never usually play cash games, because of how tournaments are. Especially ones like Million Dollar Sunday on ACR. Lots of money and prestige for US players in that tourney. Whoever got the win yesterday for 211k should feel amazing! Can't do that in a cash game.

I really want to enjoy playing tournaments more, but I am much more successful at cash games. I really have trouble with the tight play style required to be a more consistent tournament player and even though I have experienced the thrill of winning a 2k+ person online tournament (freeroll for little money), the rush I felt just wasn't as great as I was expecting.

In cash games I feel like I can play more creatively depending on what my table opponents are doing and I can open a much wider range of hands.

I'm hoping I can improve my tournament play this year now that I found out about ACR.
