I would say for newbies in poker it is necessary to be patient and dont play tournaments or cash tables with higher than 10$ buy ins.
Also very important is to have a solid bank roll management, make a plan and try to figure it out to reach your goals.

I'm not going to give advice, they've already been given, I'll say that playing is stressful, you need to be prepared for very serious shocks, regrets, joy and nausea from frequent failures.
it might be better to expect the worst so you don't get disappointed later.

But isn't that advice? I think so.

I would advise a beginner to play for a good game, not for money. Be patient, follow bankroll management and of course create an account on CardsChat :)

I always say don't learn and don't play, but if you can't resist it, start small and stay there. Check out the videos by Jonathan Little.

I would advise new players to develop their knowledge of how to play poker well by reading books, using Apps or taking online courses. Plus, I would not spend as little of my own money in poker as possible.

I would advise a beginner to start with freerolls, and most importantly, with CardsChat freerolls. Thanks to our freerolls, where players play quite skillfully, it was thanks to them that I significantly improved my skills and began to get better results.

If I could go back in time and give some poker advices to my younger self I would say this 3 things:
1) Bankroll management is the most important thing- have patience and don't chase huge money by risking too much of your available funds...
2) Study as much as possible- don't be lazy and content with your game level- always try to improve it and also try to check important hands from your sessions...
3) You can say that this can be put in the 2nd point but (IMO) because this is so important I'll make a category for it- Work a lot on your Poker Mental Game- so important for your results but also for your health...

The first thing I would tell myself is to take the 30-day course; it helps a lot (even though I still have some videos pending, I finished the PDF). The second thing is, before worrying about playing well, look closely at the other players' stacks and the position (very very important). Additionally, don't be afraid to fold hands even if you play infrequently, and don't worry about going all in if necessary.
Lastly, something that helps a lot is to think in advance about what could happen, and what the plan is when betting, what you would be willing to pay, to bet and why, etc.

"Hey there! If I could send a message to my past self about poker, I'd advise focusing on improving my game thinking and strategy rather than relying solely on luck. Play smart, develop discipline, and control emotions. Keep learning and exchanging experiences with experienced players. And remember, while luck may sometimes be on your side, true success comes from continuously honing your skills."

I would advise any new player to try to do some studying before you jump straight into the action.

Be patient, and play within your means - use proper bankroll management. And sign up on CardsChat, using Mortis as a referral. That's my advice for new players. :)

Bankroll management, discipline in your decisions on and off the table and psychology are more crucial, than strategy itself. Strategy is one fourth of poker.

Subcribe to CC and play freerolls a ton :D Dont focus so much on the studying rigth away pratice will definitly gonna be what you need to start properly.Lean how to not get affected by the variance and focus on what you can control and not on the luck part of the game.

I would say to myself - "start playing MTTs instead of playing cash games". I've spent first couple of years ignoring MTTs and SNGs... And back there it was a great time with HUGE prize pools for low buy-ins. One day in the past I've found out that my older brother won ~11K for the first place with just $1 buy-in playing MTT at the pokerstars... month later he won another 10K with $11 buy-in. That was the moment when I've joined the MTT gang... could be playing very first huge MTTs at the FullTilt and PS, but i've missed them all.

I think the best thing for a beginner is to join the CardsChat community, take our free course, and just play our daily freerolls. I think it's a perfect start for any beginner, it's just the right start :)

If you could go back in time to your first experiences playing poker, what would you tell your younger self?

One that I would share and wish I had learned earlier: Pay close attention to the words and actions of the other players at your table (live and online). A big part of this game is "playing the player" and not just the cards in your hand.
play only SNG 0.25c

I think it is very important for a beginner player to realize how important patience is in the beginning. As soon as the beginner realizes this, then he has a real chance for further development and good results.

<3 I found the best thing that helped me was "remember your position and count your outs then play accordingly"

If I were a beginner I would really like someone to tell me about the CardsChat community. Unfortunately, when I started, I learned on my own, watched the game of professionals, watched other videos on YouTube and on various thematic sites, but I did not know about the community.
So, I would like someone to just advise me to become a member of the CardsChat community :)
