Every time i get AA , i lose, why?

Why every time i get the Ases i lose ?, bad luck? or the destiny? idk but i hate this hand cause i lose even against pair of 22 , and they get another 2 in the flop.

Try not to be results oriented. If you got your money in ahead, you're doing fine. Aces won't win every time, but it's the best hand in NLHE for a reason.

10 minutes ago I had AA in a freeroll. Got an ace on the flop and one on the turn.
4 Aces and won 750 chips.

When I get aces I try to get in all in pre everytime that is the goal. Forget about slow playing a pair of aces since they only will give you action if they beat that. JAM pre raise 3 bet then JAM.

Remember the adage, "AA usually wins a small pot and looses a big pot". The main reason for this is, AA is an underdog in 4 and 5 way pots. 3 way pots? Depends on what the other 2 players have. When you have AA you had better do your best to get that hand to heads up. In other words, and in general, "Don't slow play AA".

Think of the times AA gets amazing suckouts too. My most recent memorable one had me get the Ks flush with As on the board only to get runner runnered by villain's AA which hit another A on the river to knock me out with quads. I never saw that one coming.

Further to what mulliongc said, be careful with jamming AA out of position.. especially when you are a short stack playing against big stacks. You are just asking for trouble. And freerolls are trouble. They are like the abyss...

I think that in poker everything can be. If we were to win the hand whenever we had AA, I think it would miss the great thing that poker has. Where not always the best preflop hand is the one that ends up winning. It seems to me that in front of projects of color, ladder as well as many times double pair ... although with AA emepzamos winning the hand, once the cards are in the table .... the risk to lose begins to increase. regards

If you shoved every time you got your "lucky" pocket pair, 88, for example, odds are you would probably lose. Conversely, AA probabilities are you will win.

People have a tendancy to overplay the AA especially when the blinds are low, theres gonna be somebody hitting two pair set or oesfd mabey even flopped the straight. these are the only hands people will continue with against big reraises so you usually end up winning little or you end up losing it all

In preflop situations, AA has 80.728% pot equity against a range of 22+ which has 19.272%. Now this means that you will win 80.728% in the long run. The reason I bring up equity is because you are results-oriented. Simply put, if you kept playing AA against 22, expect to win a majority of the time yet lose every now and then.

Another problem with AA is that you may be playing the hand wrong in postflop play. But discussion on playing AA on certain flops warrants typing an essay, that which I don't feel like doing.

What game are you playing, what stack sizes, bet sizes, what position were you in and your opponent?

Set of deuces will happen - but this is a rare event.

Try to bet size so that only one opponent calls. This is isolation and important. Aces can take two callers - but with three or more - if someone likes the flop you should consider folding your one pair.

I like to try to get my stack in preflop w AA.

AA against 2 opponents will win 51% of the time. More oppponents, you are still the fave to win over the others individually, but not the aggregate. Bet size to get 1 or 2 opponents.

I continue seeing posts like this, and think to myself.... Why? Why do people exaggerate..

You know this is untrue. No one loses with ANY hand EVER everytime. Even if you attempted to lose with Aces every time you would have a difficult time doing so.

They have an Aces cracked promotion at my local casino where Red Aces cracked get $500 and black Aces cracked get $200. Obviously during this time everyone is checking them down to the river and trying to get them cracked, but still end up winning in most cases. It takes about 3hrs for a room of 200+ players to get 5 Aces cracked.

You WILL lose though and that should be what people want to understand. However, if when you get the money all in, you were ahead, there shouldn't be any reason to be upset.

Try not to make it cheap for them to play while you're holding AA early in the hand. If they are putting you on AA and keep folding on the flop, but are right in that you will pay them off when they do hit and crack your aces, don't be so surprised that they are holding 22.

Mix it up a little. You do not have to shove them pre all the time. Try bets of 2.5 and if you get re-raised pre then shove. If you get called and miss the flop and they bet into to you just let them go. They will come around again Also, you do not lose with them EVERY time

You dont lose every time, people tend to remember outliers more than normal occurrences, and this is a probably a sample size issue. On the positive side, you are just that much closer to the sunny side of variance.

The first thing you have to understand is that AA doesn't win all the time, it is not invincible. I find it hard to believe that you lose ALL the time, your memory must be playing tricks on you. Have you tried going allin or making a very large bet to drive out the chancers. There's nothing like a big bet to sort out the weak hands.
