There are times you should fold JJ and to a lesser extent even QQ pre flop. There are times you should call with these hands rather than reraise. Its not the norm but spotting these situations is where your game goes next level.

The number of times I've lost lately with JJ - I really should consider throwing it away pre-flop. It doesn't seem to matter whether I start out ahead or not, or how I play it, it just keeps losing.

I like JJ but I have lost many times, I usually play this hand very carefully.

No, of course, I want to play them, see what's what. I throw them all in 70%. But I think it's better to reset it if the stakes are high.

the amount of the chips depends and the knowledge of each player at the table and especially the positioning

Not fold, but I'm not going to put all my chips before the flop on the table unless I'm in a situation of shove for the stack.

depends on the tournament, depends on the number of players who hit the hand, depends on whether the next place in the tournament brings a bigger prize, depends on how many chips you have, what position you have on the table.Yes that hand can be rejected if there are reasons for it(if you mean all in)
otherwise .... just hit it

and depending on the position you are in, it is important even if you fold, and having information about the opponent, did it according to your dexterity

Well, this is a controversial issue, there are a lot of nuances that can affect my decision. I think 50 to 50 percent of the time I would reset the opponent's strong aggression.

I ended up folding twice for the aggressiveness of the opponent

If preflop the opponents range is AA, KK, QQ, AK then JJ doesn't look so good :)

If postflop the opponents range is 2 pair of better then again JJ doesn't look so good.

It always comes down to your opponent range, and when it is extremely 'nutted' then yes JJ is an easy fold.

the thing to avoid is folding JJ when your opponents range looks more like
AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, AK, AQ

Because against that range you're actually doing quite alright.

Know your opponent, use those pokertracker stats, and you should be just fine!

there are many factors that influence the decision making position in front of us after us the number of blinds the importance of the tournament the stage of the tournament. reputation of players at the table. Based on this, it is worth making a decision.

For me it depends on the amount of money I have. How much it is going to cost to stay in. When there is nine people at the table it would be nice to see the flop. I have folded JJ. I have seen to many A's on the flop.

Yes, sometimes the situation at the poker table makes you fold with JJ preflop. After all, JJ is just an average pair.

It depends on the action. I will even fold AA in some situations (close to the bubble etc.) JJ is no good if there are multiple players in the hand. That's my opinion anyway. I would rather go in with a suited connector

Like Akran75 said back at the top of this post it depends on a lot of factors. But all things being equal, I would be inclined to go into a hand with JJ preflop. The beauty of these cards is that if the others are sitting with a Ace , King or Queen and the flop brings another Jack and any of the other higher cards then they think they are in the driver's seat. They tend not to worry about the Jack because they are not thinking you have 2 more. BBBBOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM !!!

It all depends .. as others have said on the situation .. I also agree strongly with what Dude said when you play with people who will shove with anything those jacks aren't worth much compared to an A2 off lol ..... you can be rolled over by any crap hand with an ace king or a queen in it if it hits and they do frequently .. I don't like calling a lot but with these I may treat them just the same as any low pocket pair ...there is so much that is situational ... position .. early action .. player tendencies .... stack sizes etc. .... to make one play a go to here doesn't seem right to me ... and from my personal history with the hand .. it loses a lot .... I rarely play it aggressively anymore, with much action up front ..

I play tournaments with buy-in less than $15 and see many players who play allin preflop even with 22. So JJ preflope for those players should not folded never. As for me JJ is nice hand to call 3bet reraise preflop and see flop.

It really depends on the action and many other factors, such as, will you bust out if you lose, are you near the bubble or a ladder up.

But in most cases, JJ is considered a premium hand and it should always be treated as such, as it will only be dominated by other 3 pairs preflop. It is usually a Raise or Shove kind of hand. But it all depends on the situation.

Fun fact, I once got dealt JJ, flopped Quad J, slow played them as one should, and my opponent rivered his Quad K and knocked me out of the tournament near the money. Worst bad beat of my life, lol.

I would say no it's not normal. But it's not uncommon to be in situations where you should. Multiway pot being the biggest 1. 4Bet pots.... stuff like that.

At this stage I'm folding everything that is not AA. Bad beat every time. Aces at least 20%.

You have to commend yourself for being able to fold this hand when there is a lot of action before you, especially in deep stacks. As I'm pretty sure majority of players find this hand too tempting to fold.

But JJ is not an invincible premium hand, it's actually considered to belong to the 2nd category of value hands. So it's not always meant to be a hand for all-in preflop.

Hi.
I think pocket JJ are a good trap for an aggressive opponent. So I am convinced that fold it was a bad idea.
Good luck.

JJ such a hand on which calculation 50-50 if against me will make big rireyz the I'll throw it off .if there is an ACE on the table it will be difficult to win well I try to watch the flop and continue to draw conclusions well if only 10 BB and less then easy all in

Anything over a 4 bet I would fold or a re-raise before me, I fold JJ. Other than that, I want to see the flop.
