I prefer one table with high stakes because its more intense and you really can appreciate focusing a lot more than multiple low stakes. Also it kind of gets confusing with multiple tables because you may not know which table you are doing good on if you don't pay enough attention

I sometimes play 4 at a time if there is a lot of good games going on at once, however i prefer to play just 1 table so i can attempt to focus and pay attention!

What do you like most or in which way do you make more money, playing more tables and lower stakes or playing just one table but higher stakes?

You are wrong thoughts. Earnings are not dependent on the number of tables or the bet. Your profit always depends on your abilities. You have to play in a comfortable environment. To the number of tables you are not bothered and no limits makes you nervous.

So far this thread has avoided the question.
Is there any difference between playing 3 $1 tables or 1 $3 table?

Like everyone else here I like to play 2 or 3 tables to be able to follow all the action whilst avoiding the boredom.
I guess multiple tables spreads the variance, so all the eggs aren't in one basket.
But over the long term 30 days a month, would 90 $1 tables show any difference to 30 $3 tables?

Supposedly higher stakes should have better players as opponents,
but there are also a lot of rich fish out for higher adrenalin thrills.

Massively multitabling certainly isn't for everyone and I think loses some of the information that can be gained from following how opponents are playing. Even HUDS don't fully compensate for that loss. Similarly Stacking or Cascading lose the visibility of Tiling tables.

In general ability, comfort and concentration would influence the best way for an individual to utilize their bankroll.

Thanks everyone for your answers, I guess it's individual what's the best strategy is. I think it's better to be comfortable with the amount of tables rather than chasing some ideal, and maybe the ideal is the amount your comfortable with.

If you think you can play multiple tables at the same time, I recommend you do it.

I usually play on one table. But sometimes you have to play 2-3 tables. It's a bit awkward.

If I'm playing a expensive tournament, I prefer just one table

One table

For real money, I play one table at a time. Can not keep up with more than one. My age, 79, may have something to do with it.

It is difficult to enjoy the game when playing more that one table.

While playing Omaha hi/low on PokerStars.net (play money) I play two tables. Seems to work well there.

I think no matter what limit you play, in any case, to play one table is not profitable

When I play cash I have to play multiple tables. I may not play a single hand in a 6-hour period if I only play one table. Multiple tables allows me to play my real way without getting bored and playing hands I typically would not play.

Play what you are comfortable with and what's within your bankroll.

If you're ok with playing 5 2nl tables with a $50 BR, that's fine. However playing 1 10nl table with a $50 BR is not the same thing.

So, I guess people who play live cash for a living aren't profitable?

I would say focus on 1 table if you are playing with real money.

It depends on what your comfort level is, just like which games you pick, you need to decide whats best for you. I personally like to play b/w 2-4 tables maybe more. If I am playing MTTs I like to play as many as possible. With cash games it's up to 4.

good luck

Hi all. I am new here and I saw this thread that is interesting for me too. I usually play tables with small stakes, three or four at the same time, but tables with higher stakes, I play just one.
