Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys take notes while playing or you guys make some notes on players when you review your hands? And if so, how do you do it?

Do you write on the notes field, do you assign a color for every type of player? And also how much of a sample do you need to take a proper note on someone?

Notes

I only use red notes nowadays - this way it is probably easier to track down intruders in our games  - could easily be 30+ people on that list ...

As for other "notes" (about actual cardchatters) then these i pretty much keep on my head since they are highly controversial (atleast for snowflakes etc) ...

I don’t take notes, I remember everything and keep it in my head.To record everything, this requires free time and a desire that I don’t have.

I used to make notes on some players, but find it easier to change their colour when they get to a Final table so I know they are good enough to make it there when I come up against them in other Tournaments early on, It acts like a red flag so that I know in an instant who to show a little respect to.

I take notes during the game if I only have 1-2 tables open. Otherwise it's not possible.

I usually use the standard colour, which is yellow for me to put my notes. Only if I have a strong feeling the player is very tight or loose, I change the colour depending on those observations.

In general, try to note special things which are worth noting, I.e. the player plays 65s from UTG or limps a lot, raises 5 BBs with KK+, etc. Different sizes of c-bet / value bets, etc.
So things which might help if I face the same situation again.

I play on Pokerstars which allows you label players with colors which is good enough at micro/low stakes. Plus PT4 takes notes for me.

Cheers!!!

I have been playing poker since around 2010 and made note only one or two times. It doesn't make sense to me because of hugh number of players i play with.

I take notes when playing if one opponent is really remarkable. Otherwise I let my HUD count VPIP and PFR.

I often use player notes and they help me a lot. I mark bad players in green, good and aggressive players in red, and overly cautious and calm players in blue. Sometimes I also write that a player bluffs too often or goes into a hand with a limp. I also write about how often a player bets on the flop and with what cards he does it

I take notes all the time. It's always nice to have extra information on players from you past when they show up at your table again.

I tend to take notes, only from Cardschat games, and I usually use four types of colors.

Blue - For gamers ................................??????
Green - For gamers .............................??????
Yellow - For gamers .............................??????
Vermelho - Para gamers ......................................?????

Ps: If you were curious to know what color you fit in and what I note about each player, do some self-examination and imagine what color you would give yourself according to your style of play.
I'm just going to say one thing, I don't usually follow the color pattern that professionals usually use.

Yeah
I try to take as many notes as possible.
when you take a lot of notes you realize that you cross many players in freeroll and buy-in tournaments

no, I don't take notes, I just mark people with colors and write who is which player by color, this is usually enough for me, but I think that who is used to taking notes is very important information and if you are not lazy to do it better do it:)

I take notes of players when I lose in bad beats and sometimes it happens again. Why am I doing this? So it's clearer to me in the future who I'm playing with.

I don't take notes myself. I mark with colored marks according to the categories of aggressiveness and bluff.

As I play on my cell phone, I don't have the privilege of taking notes or adding colors, it would be very useful to add colors to the players

Yeah all the time, sometime too many and I cant figure out what is important in game! But anything unusual generally and occasionally value lines too.

Colour coding weak players is probably the most important thing to do so you can table select better.

I take notes sometimes, only when a player stands out for being strong or if they are weak. I will make a note for agro players and conservative players.

When I first started playing online I did, but then I realized that I'd very seldom see the same people again so I stopped bothering with it. Live I remember certain faces and their basic play but don't record anything.

I make notes on most of my games. I come across the same players, so I already know their style.
I only make notes on the bad or bingo players.

I mostly take notes in red and green. Green is who is all-in with clear pocket trash, and red is a good player who is all-in preflop with a strong hand :)
