For me, yes, always studying hard and playing concentrated can be achieved. I know many people who are winners online. I couldn't talk about myself because I haven't been playing that long. But you can be a winner.

Don't know about online but it took about me 4 years of working on my game to grind 1/2 and 2/4 live and it was not a fun experience during the poker boom.

I had to show up when ppl got off work and show up on the weekends so it wasn't show up when "you" feel" like. Then bills have to be paid regardless if you make a profit or not at the end of the month, lol.

And the travel to and back from the casino wasn't fun because its a "trip", lol.

Online during the boom you could easily work a regular job and have stability then play online when every you wanted. You probably could do that today but I'm not sure since it depends on your situation and how much time you can put into it.

But i can almost guarantee you that by the time you're a profitable player you could have finished a trade school or a college degree and have stability and probably be better off doing the "poker thing" on the side.

If you envision it on the very long term, maybe you can cash out in the positive, even if you play low stakes. But once again, your winnings will be proportional. So as someone was mentioning, if you play at low stakes, maybe it's better to take poker as a hobby or training camp
