Often, young players, trying to win back as many hands as possible in a short time, immediately after the initial acquaintance with poker, switch to multi-tabling. This approach is quite justified – a lot of experience is quickly acquired, a habit of systematic heavy loads appears, endurance is trained, the discipline of reflection is developed, etc., etc. But for many players, an increase in the number of tables leads to a deterioration in the result.
The optimal number of tables on which you can play at the same time is found by your own experience. But, if you evaluate your abilities for attention and concentration, you can avoid unnecessary search and waste of money.
Mindfulness is a very important, but not at all obligatory quality for those who are eager to succeed. For every story about an emperor or a commander who could do several things at once, there is a story about a great scientist or an artist who demonstrated anecdotal absent-mindedness. It was just easier for them to concentrate on one issue, and it was hard for them to switch to solving another problem.
