I do not think that online poker is boring. Maybe it is less interesting. Trash talks or reading poker faces is more interesting . But the most interesting is winning chips, if that happens everything looks better

I do not see it boring, online you can play several tournaments at the same time and in different rooms, live you can only be playing at one table, online poker has many advantages and it seems better to me in many aspects

From my 20+ years experience of live and online poker, I definitely will choose online over live. Its not always pleasant to deal with a rainbow of caracters, fights, drinks spilled all over the tables, drunk players taking for ever to play a hand,etc..No thanks,I can do away of the interaction with live players,for some fast ,safe and secure poker games

Pretty much seems like online poker is similar to a pc game played online.
The challenge navigating through all the obstacles, knocking other people out and getting the spoils.
Except, if you think you are an expert in the game, you do still get beaten up pretty much at times.

So I think online poker is a good alternative to regular poker. There are also people who may not like to go to casinos or just want to make themselves comfortable on the couch. For them it is a wonderful way to play. Of course, "real" poker is still better and of course offers several options.

i have cleared how i viewed online poker many times on this thread but i guess i should been more clear when i first posted the thread initially cuz let be honest no one gonna go throught the whole thread hah .
Any way , Online poker has its perks thats True , no one can deny that , i only described as boring cuz poker is more fun for with social interactions the whole atmosphere of a poker table , picking up tales and all of that . online poker took that away from me so it just became less fun that doesnt mean i dont enjoy it at all i do but for other aspect of the game and actually playing online to improve my game to learn more about poker and taking it more seriously .
also after posting this thread i saw what other peoples saw as fun and entertaining in online poker it opened my eyes to other aspects that i didnt really appreciate or wasnt really conscious of , that being said i still choose live poker on online poker any day of the week .

Any game on-line can become boring and tedious I played Game of thrones on-line and at first it was hard work but I became a member of a decent alliance and started to attack other players who were attacking friends inside the Alliance, defending the smaller players and helping them build by sending them resources they needed. It was like being in a family.
Unfortunately I kept having problems with game crashes and decided enough was enough and eventually quit playing, and I came back to Poker on-line and found Cardschat Forum and not looked back.
I play for Fun and the love of the game, I do not need to make a living from the game nor would I want to, But I suppose eventually I may get bored from playing and will quit for a while but I will return to my account and start playing again eventually.
You see If I was trying to make a living from playing Poker, I would not have the luxury of having a choice, It would be like having a job again and believe me I have had enough jobs over my life and now I am retired I do not need another job.
There are Thousands of people out there dreaming of making it big and win life changing amounts of money, But remember for every one that does, there are many, many more that don't. Keep the game fun.

Online poker is a math-based game. You cannot see the other players, so it's really not a people-based game.
Live poker is a people-based game. Yes, obviously the same math applies to live poker as it does to online poker, but we don't have access to the same statistical tools that we have access to when playing online. While I never use a HUD, most online players do use one and can pull up a multitude of statistics thru their HUD's database on all their opponents. Live poker players do not have this luxury, and so live poker becomes more about the "people" skills, reading body language, etc.
I have good math skills and always enjoyed math more than people. That's why I prefer online poker to live poker. I love doing math, I'm a nerd, I know it, but who cares?! My people-reading skills are rather lacking, its not a strength of mine... and also, my hands shake when I put out a bet, and my face turns beet red when I have a big hand. LOL Pretty easy decision for me, live versus online.

I disagree ... to a degree (lol). Of course there's 'added info.' available to use in a live game, but we're not losing out by not having a HUD at our disposal. It's only 1 table (well.. it's usually only 1 table ... although there are some players at wsop who will run back & forth between tournaments... ie. Shaun Deeb).

poker online for me is not at all boring , Im all ways playing more then 1 table
