What is the reasoning behind SO much late registration in many tournaments?

Late registration allow more players to join their favorite tournaments, which also allow bigger prizepools, our blind structures allow more players to join tournament in late stages and still have enough chips to develope their strategy
Remember that we also have different amounts of late registration 90 minutes, 3 hours and 5 hours.

I'm trying to play a cash game and its unplayable with all three players experiencing constant disconnects. I streamed some hd video to make sure it wasn't my end and then tried playing again and it's not working. I experienced this phenomenon somewhere between 2:15 pm EST and the shown time of this post. The table was Bashe (CAP).

Problems must be widespread as I now received an in game message during a rare connection saying the site was shutting down.

edit: a minute later I was involved in a pot and the site appeared to shut down. Poker isn't fun this way and I feel it keeps your site from reaching a much better customer retention rate.

These issues are becoming more and more prevalent. Happens at least once a week.

I managed to get a few hands in but it was a poor experience. What is done when the site is obviously malfunctioning for all and left running in a degraded way? I'm really surprised they didn't shut it down completely.

I missed that. I didn't see any mention of cash games though, only tournaments.

Ooh, ahhh...site is totally legit That's why it takes them forever to solve problems (they must hire brainiacs to take care of server problems/software issues) Payouts are extended (they take our $$ quick), bad beats happen too frequently (variance doesn't even out), Reps totally unresponsive when you contact them through chat/phone when there are issues (don't believe me, try it!)

This usually leads up to the site death sentence...Don't say I didn't warn ya!
