It is 1pm EST and I am having problems updating the client. The dialog pops up and says "Checking for updates ..." and eventually times out without updating.

I also tried downloading from main site to do a reinstall, and the file server can't be contacted. I can't get the file at all.

Thanks for the nice new (new for me) poker room and thanks for $5 gift!

But

Your software isn't starting on my machine anymore.
I've uninstalled it and installed a new version from your site, but it still won't run.

I have a laptop with Win7 x64, Quad core + 1Tb/8Gb
Everything runs well.
ACR was running well 2 weeks ago.
I have received a email with gift and tried to open the software - it opened the lobby, but i couldn't enter my password.

I'm not a Steve Jobs, but i'm a programmer and a some sort of a PC specialist... I couldn't solve the problem on my own.

Can you help?

I noticed I could not log on. Thanks for the update. Let us know when you have it beat. I think the same thing happened to BOL the last couple of days. SPB logged on fine but BOL was nearly impossible Monday. Hackers looking for free coin I guess.

What happens to the player who were playing tourneys when this happened? and the game got paused? and they logged out and can't log in anymore? and they went away for a while? do they get blinded out when the software restarts? because there is no way of notifying any of 'em if they're not around trying to log in every 5 mins!!!

Kinda sorta. Welcome to the real world where crap happens and things are not always fair or the way we want them. Most money games if cancelled get refunded and freerolls just end. Has been my experience so far. 5Dimes Grand Poker went down late last year and was down for 4 months. Maybe say a prayer for ACR and keep checking in here. They will let us know when they are back up in this thread.

Thanks for doing what you do. But there should be a BULLETIN , or sticky or something, section to post DDOSs, so we can check there first and know when something unusual is happening. ACR an BCP work so haphazardly that it's hard to tell when there's a new real problem....

What a messy situation but im worried about our personal information, when they fix this ACR should tell us if the attacker got our private information.

This is a Denial-of-service attack (DDos). Don't worry, your online account and information is not affected.

Okay guys so, our IT department is still working on this, we had to cancel all tournaments that were running and in late Registration. There are no current tourneys. We refunded as per our Tournaments cancelation policy. Please bear with us, don't try to register on any tournament. Allow us more time.

Our security system is very safe, that's our #1 priority, any data will not be compromised. Our Security team works 24/7 checking everything related to accounts and all those types of things.
