You do realize the same operation is staying in the US right? It just won't have the name Bodog on it. Nothing else will change from the player's perspective. Bodog hasn't actually run the game for years.
I am just hoping I do not have to resubmit all my paperwork. It has sometimes been back and forth because a document is blurry, someone needs another document, the data does not agree, so we need another document, etc. I have had sites say my birthday is wrong. I cannot help it that when poker sites change networks, that they did not carry forward my birthdate. So it took another document for that.
I usually do the one-time paperwork a month before I do the deposit or withdraw just so I deal with one headache at a time.

They did not change networks. The same people that were running it before (MMGG) are still running it now. They just changed the name. That's all. Your account details remain untouched, so I don't see how they'll require new documents or anything else.

Poker Updates have on many occassions triggered Virus Warnings. I have never once heard there was actually a true harmful Trojan involved and I seriously doubt you have to worry this time

I just downloaded the new update to Bovineteria :) and my high class McAfee Security Suite did not detect anything untoward. You can download and feel very safe IMO and based on my experience.

No doubt, the most exciting part of the New Year is the countdown. Even better is ringing in the New Year with free entry to the $100K Guaranteed for all of 2012, with our Holiday Countdown Draw!

Score entries to the draw via Poker Points – just earn 5 points on December 24th and 5 points on the 25th and you will automatically get an entry to the draw. Earn double the points and you’ll receive two entries. There’s no limit to how many draw entries you can earn, so it pays to play!

The winner of the draw will receive entry tickets to the Sunday $100K Guaranteed for the entire year of 2012, valued at over $8,000. That’s 53 entries, and 53 chances at the $100K – and a whole lot of bragging rights!

"No way they could pick a name worse than Bodog!"
"It's now Bovada."
"I stand corrected."
Agree! I think they named it after the "failed" Oldsmobile BRAVADA...probably an Indian name what you think?

Bwahahaa. Ill say it again. Been saying it for YEARS, Nothing else to add but bodog will always be on the top five for worst poker rooms ever. I have BodogBecky as a friend on FB and all I ever see is her flying all over the world and partying. Iam not hating. Thats her job. But I dont understand how we use her as a source to give us updated facts on there new software. This is not her expertise. It never has been. She has always worked for Calvin Ayre. Bodog or whatever there name is hasnt reached out enough IMO and I dont see how any American (no matter how desperate) can play there.

Well I wish he or she would speak up. This transition isn't going so smooth for them.

After I got past the virus warnings downloading the new version, I haven't been able to log-in to the new software. I called support and the non-english speaking rep informed me that they were having problems with the new poker software and someone would contact me shortly.

Four hours later....no call....no e-mail. Nothing. And of course the tourney that I have a ticket to was tonight at 9.

Thanks for nothing Bovine! Any chance of keeping my business just went up in smoke.

Yeah, I see they have had login problems from many people tonight, and those that actually won money in MTTs did not have money credited to them.

What's going on with Bodog/Bovada?

Hi Everyone,

I would just like to point out the "Bodog" has absolutely nothing to do with "Bovada". Bovada.LV is the new domain used by Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) now that their license to use the bodog brand has expired.

There are still a number of bodog licensed operators still in operation including Bodog.co.uk, Bodog.ca, Bodog88.com and Bodog Network (more info at BodogBrand.com if you're interested). I will continue to represent these bodog branded organizations here at Cards Chat and across all online gambling forums, so nothing changes there.

If you have any Bovada questions or comments you'll have to contact them directly as I only work for Bodog, however.

Thanks!
Becky

Hi all - it's true we are around monitoring the forums, and we really want to encourage people that have questions and concerns to contact customer service by phone at 1-888-263-0000 or [email protected].

The big change is really just the move of US players and a few smaller countries to a new brand name. Previously Morris Mohawk Gaming Group licensed the use of the Bodog Brand to operate and instead, but we will now operate under the Bovada Brand name. All account information and funds have been transferred to Bovada and are 100% safe - you won't have to provide us with information that you have already provided.

Related to the virus/threat message that some players have received, we're still looking into this. We are wondering if those having the issue could actually provide us with a few more details to help us get to a resolution more quickly. Please either send these to us via PM or to [email protected].

1. What antivirus software do you use?
2. What version of the antivirus software is it?
3. At what point do you receive the notification about the virus?
4. What does the message say?

We use the bodog poker Network software, and we can assure you that it is secure.

Howdy. Welcome to CC!

Maybe you could read through the thread and give you voice on some of the things that we, as players, are not at all happy with, and if we, as players, can expect our wishes will have any relevance to the upper levels of Bovada.

Hi, if this hasn't been resolved for you yet, can you please PM us your Bovada.LV account details so that we can look into this issue for you?

Bodog

Well Bodog now changing their name to Bavada which I don't like that name but it really doesn't matter much since after Dec 31, 2011 there will be no more players from USA allowed to play there so whatever they are doing is of no help to me now.. CH72:willy:

To Bovida rep:

One question I have is: Is bodog - the poker site - still in use, and if so for whom? Is it different depending on what country you are in, and if so could you provide a link with the information as to who plays where??

Hey there,

I'm going to jump in here as you're asking about a Bodog branded licensee, Bodog Network.

Bovada.lv is one of a number of organizations on the Bodog Network (in addition to bodog.ca, bodog.co.uk and bodog88.com) and there are going to be more over the next year now that the new fully networked system is out.

Please let me know if you have any more questions,
Becky

I am not sure if anyone else is having connection problems there?
I entered the Holiday Freeroll last night and had a game on Carbon up too and it glitched and froze on the table, I had that problem with bodog if I had PS or FT open as well. So I closed my carbon game and reopened bovada and still when my table opened it froze up again and the client closed.
I am not sure if it might be the browser I downloaded it from, if I should download again from a different one, or if I just change browser defaults if it will open with a different one?
Is anyone else having connection issues?
