And now Bodog has suspended that guy's account. They should be thanking him imo.
Bodog is a disgrace imo.
Yeah he obviously knew they were going to. That's the reason he only sat at a play money table because he had no real $$s in that account. I'm sure he'll make another account to post the next exploit.

Guys, sorry for my delays in responding to threads, its not because I'm ignoring you, its because I literally don't have enough hours in the day! I've been reporting on an online gambling conference in Washington DC for the past few days- a lot of discussion on the regulation of online poker in the US, in fact. :)

Anyway, here's a message from Bodog Network re: the security issue mentioned above:

"The talents of the online poker community have been enormously helpful in testing the new software we have released. Obviously, any release has its teething problems and equally obviously we take any fault very seriously & we have released an update which we are confident has addressed the most pressing issues.

The input of poker players and software professionals since launch has helped us make our system more robust and highlight how strong the poker community is.

As for the debate on the rights and wrongs of anonymous tables we are thrilled with how the pros and cons are being discussed. From our own stand point we are sure that depositing players are the lifeblood of the industry and encouraging the casual player to have a better experience will make the poker eco-system better for all types of player".

Thanks,
Becky

So the fact that the major sites (lets face it bodog, is not the major industry player it wants us to believe) have taken a different approach and model, and are seemingly more successful. How is it that bodog still believes this to be the right approach?

Also, if you value the player's input, why was Kyle banned? Isn't that contradicting what you wrote above.

Please respond.

if they were so geared towards going anonymous, why not do something simliar to CAKE (where players can change their table sn once per week). At least there your player notes stay on the player & you can observe/watch for collusion(etc.).
Doesn't appear that Bodog has any plans for change.
The response suggesting that the 'new' update makes their security even more 'robust' is a f'n joke.

I think what bodog needs to do, is start responding to questions from the players. Bodog Becky is doing a great job dancing around every question. And if you say that you are just in communication and not fully aware of what is going on, you are not fit to be a site representative.

Yes but if no bodog rep can't answer any meaning full questions about the site up dates, we have a serious problem.

Have you ever seen a PS rep this speechless? The answer is no.

Downloaded Bodog again to try out the new changes and couldn't get a freakin' bet in on a play table SNG without "sitting out". Reloaded the software and got the same. Player names should have been retained also if they could have found a good way to block HUDS and datamining.

I just came here to post that video as well. That is a huge potential security leak by Bodog, on top of the fail anonymous tables.

Too bad they don't have player-to-player transfers on there - - - I would've been happy to transfer my roll on there.

Doesn't appear that Bodog is doing much in way of changing their minds with the new anonymous, open the floodgates for cheaters software. Decided to withdrawl my entire bankroll off there yesterday, leaving only enough for one of those '30seat' sattys to the $100K. 'If' I win the satty & cash in the $100k.. still not going to play on there, lol.

A sad day for this former Bodog fan...I requested and was approved for withdrawal of my bankroll, then I uninstalled the program. :(

I still  you Becky--you have been fabulous and I had fun getting to know you. :) If the Bodog powers-that-be ever regain their senses I look forward to seeing you again.

Also, as always, CS was wonderful. Got right through on the phone like usual and the transaction was complete within minutes.

Such superlative service, such (yes, I have to say it) literally stupid top management. Again, so sad...

ditto!
Although I was never really a fan of Bodog, I had just come to start playing on there recently (even though I've had an acct. for over a yr... opened one up when they allowed Canadians). I was pretty bummed about the change to the site cuz I had hopes of playing on there more often (had just begun adding in a couple/few tournaments on days I was playing) & was actually beginning to like it.

I'm just a recreational player & maybe even fit into the 'target market' for Bodog. I don't mind the use of HUDs (but don't use one personally) & player tracking(& would be more than fine with it being eliminated) but I find it a HUGE Fail to not even be able to put notes on other players. It takes out ALOT of the game (I mean isn't that what 'poker' is?). I'm also not too thrilled that the update on Bodog opens the tables up for mass collusion & regardless of what Bodog says about their 'robust' security, I wouldn't know if it was an excellent player who'd just left the table & then immediately returned to same seat, if three players in a SNG were there colluding with one another & a myriad of other stuff. This makes me feel very uncomfortable playing on the site & I won't do so unless changes are made.

Guys:

I am a fact checker for BodogBrand.com. I am here in the forums for two reasons:

1)To correct statements made about BodogBrand.com, any of the Bodog Brand licensees and/or CalvinAyre.com that are inaccurate.
2)To act as a liaison between you and Senior CS management if CS is unable to help to your satisfaction for any reason.

Hope this helps explain my role as BodogBecky across all online gambling forums and the net in general.

Also, yes, there was a software glitch but it has been fixed and no sensitive information was leaked. Bodog Network is thankful for player feedback so bugs can be found and fixed. Here's more on how volunteer hackers help make bodog poker security more robust.

Thanks,
Becky

so sry to say, but bodog is the worst site to play on, no matter what the do, the can't compare to some other sites, the can change there website, upgrade there software, for all i care, make it platnium, it will always be slow and boring and no good players, yes an advantage if u want to take money for free, but i love playing poker for the competition of the real sharks, thats what make u a good player and sry bodog will never compare

May not have to bother with BoDog anymore. Seeing that I can't get logged in there this morning. Maybe I complained too much and they locked me out.

BoDog Software Questions

Since BoDog took away my $2 beginnners tourneys, I decided to check out their cash tables. But, either I have something set wrong or their software is lame.

1. Is it possible to see the full tables?
2. Is there a waiting list for tables?
3. Is there a way to save your filter settings so that you don't have to uncheck things EVERY time you get out and then back into their software?
4. Is there a way to set your default seat--so that when multi-tabling you can easily switch between tables and not have to hunt for your seat?

My guess is that the answer is NO to all of my questions and yes BoDog Software is LAME! But, if there are any of the questions that are yes, please enlighten me!

bodog

Lame or not I like the new anonymous play, almost makes the game unfair if those data miners can gain an unfair advantage
