If it makes you feel better Caps I was denied twice this month and I did not sign up with an affiliate.
However I really don't think it effects me as bad as you as I don't play nearly the volume or levels you.
Good Luck.

I joined RBP at 12:15 yesterday afternoon...... :pcguru:

My saga is the same as TM's however, when I sent the email to FTP asking why and they sent my info to RBP, I was denied again.... sigh
I just sent another email to FTP inquiring and where as I posted here, hopefully I will get a better response, lol

Received my acceptance e-mail at 8:30 this morning ...

Ya I think I am in your boat Caps, or should I call it a kayak.

I think we should call it the "mothership".:D

:hahaha: I didn't even have time to sit back and wait..... :flute:

Dakota has to be correct on it not having anything to do with the ass-umptions that have been made earlier about the reasons for denials. The timeline above is true... 20 hours from clicking the register button at RBP to receipt of acceptance e-mail.

After watching this thread develop, I decided to give it a try just to see what would happen to someone who....

... signed up directly through the FT website 3 years ago (no affiliate)...

... has NEVER made a deposit of any kind on FT (or any other poker site)...

... has not played a FT cash stud ring game in the last year and a half
-and-
... has NEVER played a NLHE cash ring game on FT...

... has not played 'play chip' games in over 2 years...

... plays 1, 2 to 3 (max) MTT's per month at a max $5.50 buy-in (most are $2-3.50 buy-in)
-and-
... in the last 10 months has not played ANY buy-in games that were not CC or OFC related...
-and-
... has a history of playing (maybe) 10 Fergusons ($1 buy-in, no rake)...

... has NEVER played one hand of RUSH poker and there is no reason to believe that I ever would...

... has NEVER sent an e-mail to FT asking about rakeback...

... has NO REASON to expect to ever be approved...

... now wonders what 27% of $0.00 rake amounts to per week ...

I (somehow) feel bad now for those still fighting for rakeback... and very probably deserve it. Good luck to those still trying !!!

Dang it... have to run off now... may have to play one or two hands of stud this week so I can get a few pennies back next week.... :vroam:

As I think I was one of the first to try and get rakeback after seeing this thread it's gratifying to see others following and getting it too.

Capslock - I think myself and a few others on here owe you a drink or two as without you starting this we wouldn't be enjoying the 27% that we now enjoy (and which you bizarrely don't). Funnily enough I may be in Dallas on business soon so at least I'll be able to buy you that drink :)

When I logged in to RBP to check my stats since I was accepted for rakeback I was shocked to find I had a substantially negative balance for my rakeback. It appears "freerolls" are no longer free if you have rakeback at fulltilt. Win or lose I have been charged my prorata share of the prize pool against my rakeback account. This was particularly bad for the $2000 - 50 person freeroll I played where I didn't cash (=-$40.00 to rakeback account) I will be much more selective in the freerolls I play at FullTilt or I may never receive rakeback even though I am approved for it.

LOL ... if they charge me for freerolls, I could be the first one to start a "$0 to -$10,000" rakeroll ... OMG ... this is too funny ... :D

This means you were always eligible for rb at FT. For anyone who signed up through an affiliate, or signed directly but deposited cash (this for me), you have to ask for rb and be granted an exemption.

I'm one of the people who didn't know about rakeback until I joined CC. I had a fulltilt account I created a while back, but never played there and never made a deposit. After reading this thread, I went to the RakeBackPros website on 2/27 and I got an email yesterday saying I was accepted. So it does pay to try.

Ah, I didn't know about the deposit part, that might be part of my problem.

I just waited and it came. I had tried with another RB site to get RB on FT, but failed.

I have not played on Full Tilt in a couple months. I received RB about a week ago, and I have a negative balance.

I just went to RBP and signed in. It showed me a graph showing $0 in rakeback so far. Does this mean I have r/b now or does everyone with an account see this?

Have you played any hands over the last couple of weeks at FT? I'm showing rb for the last two weeks for hands I've played - I gather my first rb payment will be tomorrow, hoping it covers both weeks since the email only said it would cover this week (unexpected surprise for me if I also get the rb for the time I was clearing the $100 bonus)...

RB is always greatly reduced when you are clearing a bonus.

Same, I was really shocked by this. Guess that's the end of freerolls on Full Tilt! Ah well, probably for the best. :( Going to miss the CC FTP freerolls!

Depositing, by itself, doesn't disqualify you from RB. I got it after depositing. In fact I got it after an affiliate signup, but I didn't deposit before 60 days so the affiliate agreement expired. About a year later I deposited, then about 8-9 months later I applied for and received RB.

I knew about bonuses and FPP purchases being deducted, as well as any guaranteed tourney amounts not covered by buy-ins, but didn't remember anything about freerolls. Perhaps freerolls fall into that tourney category, since there are no buy-ins to cover.

Only FTP sponsored FRs count against your MGR. So you can play the CC FRs without taking a hit.

2010-Jan-31 - from me to rakebackpros - "As you suggested in your FAQ section, I am providing you with my Full Tilt username so you can check to see if I am eligible to receive rakeback on my existing account."

2010-Feb-03 - from rakebackpros - "We regret to inform you that at this time we will not be able to offer you rakeback for your existing Full Tilt Poker account. We will keep your player details and if we are able to offer you rakeback in the future we will contact you at the email address you have registered with us."

2010-Mar-04 - from rakebackpros - "You are now eligible to receive rakeback on all of your future play at Full Tilt Poker. To accept this offer you need to create an account with RakeBackPros using your existing Full Tilt Poker player details."

2010-Mar-04 - from rakebackpros - "Thanks for signing up with RakeBackPros.com! We've sent your Player ID to Full Tilt Poker to see if you can be considered to receive rakeback from us. If we can offer rakeback to you we will be back in contact soon."

2010-Mar-05 - from rakebackpros - "Congratulations! You are now a RakeBackPros player and you will receive xx% rakeback on all your future play at Full Tilt Poker!"

quick...painless...no other communications required...thanks Full Tilt and Rakebackpros!

Now that I have rakeback I find it confusing.

I just got it this week but when I looked today to see if I had any rakeback from my few days play, it said I made a whole $1.43.

However it showed me with a negative balance from the week before and charged me $.36 for that. I find it hard to imagine I had a negative balance in rake, I don't play freerolls on FT and I didn't deposit, withdraw or use any FT points.

Do the CC freerolls or the OFC freerolls count against rakeback also?

No private FRs do not count against. Did you clear any of the $50 bonus they recently offered? That counts against.

You might want to check the accuracy of that info WVH. As I wrote yesterday, I got accepted within 24 hours at RBP. I checked yesterday and saw my account balance at $.00

I decided to (finally) play a few hands of .05/.10 and .25/.50 stud hi last night, after midnite EST. Curiosity prompted me to see how quickly cash play at FT records at RBP. I opened my account only to find this....

Rbp 3 5 10

------------------------------------

I have sent an e-mail to support ...and we'll see how it is they explain that I get a -$1.53 charged to my account without having played any games at FT other than the CC FR on 3/2/10.

WOW ... getting negative rakeback is AWESOME .... for PLAYING ...

Maybe I wasn't too far off yesterday when I wrote....

:hahaha:

Early clarification ... so far this week I have played ONLY the CC FT freeroll and the ring stud I mentioned from early this AM. I have not deposited (never do), no withdrawals, no bonuses, no MTT's of any kind .... NOTHING !! But yet my account gets charged $1.53 ... go figure ... :icon_scra

Needless to say ... so far ... I'm really impressed with more of my online poker experiences ...

That number goes back further than the last week then. Private FRs do not effect MGR.

Things that do effect MGR include:
Cashing out (check or bank wire fee)
FTP sponsored FRs
Tournaments with overlays
Using FT points with the exception of using them for tourney BIs (unless the above applies)
Clearing bonuses (except the mid / end of year IM bonuses)

Can't think of anything else right now although there certainly could be more to add.
