I find the play in masters to not be that different than fairly expensive tournaments. The high layouts are extremely good but would involve a huge tome investment but worthwhile if you get in the top few.

If you are a beginner and like to play poker playing real money, it is worth it. Although there are several unlikely players committing a lot of irregularities, although there are several bad beats because the number of people involved in allin in one hand are many, so the variance is very large. The important thing is to take advantage of final positions with a tight range and be lucky that you will go far in this tournament. Today I do not play, but when I started playing online poker I played several of that tournament, including a few tournaments, I earned money at the beginning of the month because I reached a good position in the league.

The Masters League is worth playing with good results. The Previous version was ten times better.

Too small prizes, not enough for motivation. But if you will play harder, you can get high level league.

I played too few years ago and found it very exciting because i could gather points and follow how I´m doing. Won some money too but moneywise not worth it, takes so much time.

They are changing it a bit now, just today I've received an email from PokerSchool Admins where they write about changes and the biggest is that the Master Level is only accessed by 0.25$ buy-in - no tickets and that Initiation level is only for new accounts that were recently created.

Also from now on the only price to won will be tournament money and of course league points.

The Initiation level ones I reach the money fairly easily but I struggle in the middle stages. I don't think it's that profitable but it's good practice for serious games.

To those saying the money is bad do not really give a correct reflection. Some of the masters are have a $70 prize pool for $0.25 entry. This is correct for this tournament alone for the time investment. But if you can make 1st place overall the prize money is excellent. Pokerstars then basically chuck you a free $2,500. I wish though they did a league for a more normal entry, even $11 as this would mean you could win a lot on the individual tournaments while also taking part in the league.

I play it, now 241 place, but i crazy for top 100. I think it's real. Shure it's good practice of mtt. Now play about 800-1300 players and 20% prize pool, it's better then freerolls 3000-5000 and 54 prize)

I am playing both the initiation and masters. While the initiation is free and the masters is only 0.25 there is a massive difference in playing quality which is odd considering how cheap the entry to the masters is. I am finding myself calling allins with much lower starting hands like kq in the initiation with good stacks that I would normally fold because you raise and get absolute trash shoving.

Just played the initiation again. First hand a6 off allin, a10s calls, k8s calls, I call 99. I should have waited for a better spot. The k8 wins, quadruples his stack, 3 hands later he has lost it all again. Irritating! Still in the masters for the moment though. :)

I used to play Pokerstars school league, but to be high in the standings, you have to put a lot of time on it.

And since it's free, I thought that my decisions would be affected when I play real-money. So I stopped,

I do think it's a good thing for beginners who don't want to invest though...

The fields have been significantly reduced compared to the previous months of the initiation league. Before you would see fields of 1500-2500 or more commonly, depending on the time of the game.

Keep playing your A game here and getting into the top 100 is very obtainable. The prize money in individual tournaments is pretty insignificant, but getting points is the most important. Keep grinding hard, even if you are behind in points, one deep finish could propel you towards the top of the leaderboard.

I have not started playing there yet, but I'll start as soon as I have time. I just heard about it recently, I find it a very good thing, other poker rooms could do that.

Also you can get some bonuses, like schoolpass tickets for poker courses tests and $ tickets and jackpot from "lucky card"!

Yeah currently 56th in the Master league! Nearly two more weeks of play left. Hope I can keep going up, otherwise not down too much :)

I also think its good practice.
Besides that you can start building some bankroll, be a part of a large
leaderboard experience, it will train your skills, and put you to the test :D

What is not to like about freerolls if you have no money on your account.

I play leagues from poker school, but next year there will be changes and there will be very few tournaments with only 4 master tournaments per week.

From January next year there will be big changes. Some tournaments in General will be removed and replaced by others.

After the changes they made, I think it's not worth the trouble in their tournaments. It's a mockery. 10,000 people for a $ 100 prize. The goal is to force you to deposit.

It is absolutely not worth it for the money, but it's a good way to get experience in real money poker. I started by playing those and learned a bit more than by playing with play money

where?

It's worth to qualify with $5.50 for masters league where top prize is $3000 and is very easy to join in this league

Where are these tournies? What site? I would very much like to try to "manage my time" and get into tournaments which pay out decent amounts. Hard to sit there in some of those tournies realizing that the best you can win is a small amount compared to the time you have invested.
