Is it worth playing Pokerstars School League?

Hi Sidenotch. It's on Pokerstars. When you join the School you get three months free of the initiation league which is free entry and first place at then end of the month is about $125. All the games are freerolls. The masters league is $0.25 which awards the prize pool in each tourney. However the top 100 places get a bonus payout with first place getting a few thousand dollars.

To find both in the search field type school. Or you can type masters to enter the $0.25 one that has bigger payouts.

lost 50 places after not playing a couple of days. I can see the players at the top pretty much hitting it every day, sometimes twice a day. Very difficult to do if your working or maintaining a social life!

Don't you think it would be great if they did something similar but with say a $10 buy in? At least the individual tournaments would have some value. If you finish at the top it's great, but at $0.25 the individual tournaments do not seem to have a monetary value.

Well back up to 139th place this month after a final table finish and a hell of a way from any real bonus money - this is gruelling! 7 cashes, 6 with points. Would be cool to finish in top 100 but not doing it to win a $20 prize!

I see they are going to be making some major changes to this with local leagues rather than one global one and less days per week so it is not as time consuming.
