I've played live poker for 50yrs. & I've played over 4million hands online & ~30,000 tourneys.

I don't see anything unusual at all. I don't see anything unusual in my database of hands played either. Years ago I knew of studies that had been done & everything fell within statistical expectations over a decent sample size (some of these studies were made public). Also, there used to be a site called PokerTableRatings. It kept records of every single cashgame hand that was played online. Too bad it doesn't exist these days... but it gave some players an unfair advantage as it also offered to sell HH's.
That's funny I have seen and posted on card chat studies by mathematical and computer programming professors from mit that said the chance of the cards falling live the way they did online was less than 1 in a billion. There was a lot more statistics all reinforcing my opinion.
Not looking for argument this is one of those things like religion and politics people make up their mind and only see information the agrees with their side of the argument. I'm talking about both sides mine as well as yours and no point trying to change minds b/c not gonna happen. Definitely no reason to argue we can agree to disagree and be friends I think people are allowed their opinion and the contrast of opinion helps push knowledge forward.:):)

well for starters... YOUR ENTIRE STORY REEKS OF IT!
Just from what you're suggesting..... it is not how it works. You might've read about, heard about collusion rings (maybe you read about it.. idk). Where there's 20 guys seated in a room... but they're not changing out the cards that are falling.

You've played for 15years. and you claim 'tens of thousands' of hands played!!! As if that were a milestone of sorts. I can play tens of thousands of hands in ONE WEEK.

Your story is just so ridiculous & so far-fetched. It did give me a chuckle or two though. Thank-you for that.

Hey everyone, this person has played more games than me. Therefore I don't know anything about poker

Can I ask, do you not believe organise card site rigging exists because my story sounds implausible, or simply because you do not believe it exists.

Also may I ask what age you are? You want to tell us how clever you are, and yet if my story is true, it would mean you know nothing

Your talking about us facing sites right? Because that's all I ever claim to know about being only sites I've played on. Witch are WPN Chico and ignition/Bovado in the past yr and a half all I've played other than that I would't dare presume to know about.

That thread where the member claimed their friend was an MIT grad, etc. etc.,... it's all b.s.

And, there's zero stats. reinforcing your 'opinion'.. and that sir is why it's an opinion.

It was not a thread it was an article from a respected web site. Look i tried to say lets agree to disagree but your obviously trying to bate me considering you go on threads where people don't agree with you and attempt to argue. Either your stupid blind or have religious type faith in these sites either way i'm done.

I would like to believe the best in people. I have been playing on Ignition for many, many years. Not once had an issue with cashing out, and I have a a theory on the so called "cash out curse". Let's say you start out with $100 and work your way up to $1000. That's a pretty good run. So, we need to figure out how you got to that $1000.

#1-Cash Games: With $100, you should not be playing any higher than .02/.05, which is 20 buy-ins. Instead you start out at .05/.10 or /10/.25. In order for you to sustain any type of bankroll, you need to start winning ASAP. You have a great run over the course of a week and you have moved up to .50/1, which at $1000 is only 10 buy-ins. You decide to cash out $500, but stay at .50/1...With $500, that's only 5 buy-ins, and boom, variance starts to kick in, yet you only move down when you get back to $100. If you have the money to put back in, then yeah, take your shots, but if you are relying only on that $100 to play, proper bankroll management is the key.

#2-MTT: With $100, you should not be buying into any tournament over $2 and that's the max. Let's say again, you use 20 buy-ins and enter $5 tournaments. And dang, you win one and final table another and all of a sudden you are at $1000. You figured, heck, that was easy, so you take out $900. You keep with the $5 tournaments, min cash in a couple, get a few bad beats, next thing you know, you only have $20, but you insist on playing $5 tournaments.

My point being, some poker sites may look for an edge by having slots and blackjack, but it is not good business for them to "curse" there poker players. The more money you have, the more they will make. And I'm sure the $100 that you lost and have to redeposit is not their business model for success. And after all, you just made $500-$900, so it could be that your ego is getting in the way. Nobody can win every session or make every final table, regardless of how great a player you think you are, or actually may be. Bankroll management and variance are two of the most important concepts to understand in poker, regardless of skill level.

I wish you could identify players and HUDs worked. Being able to analyze players does a great deal to eliminate things like collusion.

Sorry that you think this way. It's actually not what I'm trying to do... .or even remotely what I'm thinking. Trying to bate you? Actually (if you recall) I have tried to help you. I've written to you about information on the game, givin' you advice and even sent you one of my books to read on Tournament play. I don't really see the bating in that.

It's the 'rigged' stuff I see some members goin' off about, with zero proof... and in 10+yrs. I've seen it hundreds of times. I even felt it in my first few months online... "it must be rigged!... I mean come on.. How could that happen.. AGAIN?!?! .. & again??!!!!" But then I chose to look at things differently... after reading some things some members had written to me.
Some of the stuff is just right out in left field.

To be honest... I guess I'm a little bit disappointed :( At first I saw some of your posts and it seemed you were enthusiastically looking for help (I saw this in a few places)... and then a bit later it seemed the 'rigged' vibe set in. :(

You want to tell us how clever you are,

Incorrect. ^

Your post was just so utterly ridiculous & completely F.O.S. that it amazed me that someone would even ever dream of writing about such a nonsensical story. Did you dream that one up while sitting on your couch playing x-box? I do give you props for coming up with maybe the most ridiculous 1st post ever (and that's some feat as there have been some other goodies)

For all doubting eyes not just Orifice!
I post this just for you explaining my view point. I like to learn real poker b/c I play live and for most part strategy overlap but not the same! You come on these threads you know are in contrast of opinion just to create bad energy I don't go to idk let's say a pro creationism post and start talking about evolution I could with much more proof than you have here but why, I wouldn't because just going to create bad feelings and energy.

Right. Can we move past the personal attacks please. it adds nothing beyond making you look mea and petty, I hope you aren't

I would simply like to ask, if_every single_ word I said about that platform scam in that post were 100% true, would that impact your worldview.

I don't even need to verify or prove anything here. I just would like to know.

Fwiw I didn't even begin to talk about what they do to buy up coins that are worthless and their Macau strategy on that. If you think what I typed was extra ordinary, well. I haven't even started with how much the payoffs to the police are. Or their links to some parts of a provincial Chinese government.

But just purely on what I posted initially. If ALL of that were true, what would that mean to you. Approach it as a hypothetical if you like too.

I have not come across this site, but I generally agree that there are some sites that may not play fairly.

Can anyone confirm a successful payout via Bitcoin recently?
If yes, How long did it take?
And did you have to verify your account with a utility bill, driver's license, etc...?

I don't know about ignition so i can't say much other than we are in covid Lockdown in Australia I'm bored and figure joint a site play few games

well basically i join. i enter a tournament and go top and have some insane suckouts to come second in 179 player tournament for the first game is fascinating.

So I then dial up the money and wow! the bad beats on the bubble! for some not insignificant cash , repeated low percent Ridiculousness . I've played 15 years tens of thousands of hands probably... I'm seeing some fascinating stuff at ignition, is it cooked I don't know. I assume so, they want us busted to get the buy in fee

what I can do is give some of you a firsthand account of some of the things behind the scenes in such sites. so I'm up in Singapore and I'm speaking to my buddy in China and he said he will come down and visit. I say how can you get a visa so quick he says that's alright I have one for Malaysia you cross the border I've got a team in JB, I said what do you mean, so he gave me an address I went to an apartment Tower up to a floor floor went into a locked room there were 20 guys on 20 terminals he told me that he is now in computer games gaming apps in China mostly baccarat but poker and blackjack too. he laughed he said they're making a few million a week this is US dollars not Chinese renminbi AS

. he explained what do those guys do he said they work 24 days a month and then they take a few weeks off that work 13-16 hours a day and they are ON each table making sure that the real players never win by providing cards that will screw them over.

I said I don't get it why you do this he said we make sure the player never wins. I said why do you want to rip them off just take a rake if you had a rake then eventually you will win everything. he said no that's not what we do he said you take it ALL today

I said then they might not come back tomorrow he said they will I said how much money are you doing he said they probably load up with $10 to $50 at a time. I said just take a rake and entry fee per game you win it all within a week he said no he said if we don't win it today then a competitor might get them tomorrow. I said If i have a bad experience then i won't come back tomorrow, he said we want a
it all today

I said that's the most stupid short-sighted business strategy I've ever seen. he said China is everybody is ripping everybody off and you don't care about next week you just want to win today before they beat you.

sorry about the really shity formatting I'm voice typing broken fingaz

the guys work 13 hours a day to 16 hours they get paid around about 50,000 a year which is a shitload of money for China. they get the food delivered and get the girls sent up for night-time entertainment. we give them clothing and cigarettes, accommodation and flights. this was a large 4 bedroom apartment in a 5 star hotel resort complex, 20 young guys there just sitting at screens making sure players don't win by choosing the cards that will appear.

What happens at ignition I don't know. but I saw it and I know for a fact that that is how these websites operate. they can making a few million dollars per WEEK from a lot of players losing a few dollars at a time .

in regards to poker what seems to happen is they can remove 16 cards from a deck for a hand, maybe a 3 4 5 & 6 or a particular suit, which means players are more likely to be on a draw or have hit plus outrageous draws which means more bust outs which means more rebuys the money it made from getting people to bust quickly and rebuy.

Yes I fully understand what happens when you play high volume of hands and variance and random probability but the amount of times in a four handed game you see an example AdQdQ flop and some ones got an AKd another a 10Jd another 3d7d another Q6d type all in bingo. Particularly near that bubble. Fascinating those crazy hands.

Ignition is ripping people off even in their casino games

I have proof that ignition is fraud in their patrons. I can show you. There is a slot called ten times win. I was playing .25 cent bets with 3 coins on three lines. I got three red bars on a bet earlier, and it payed out 110 or something, so imagine my surprise when I got pastured 11.25 the next time it hit 3 red bars. I have screens hots too. I have proof that I was getting the same payouts whether I had 3 coins selected or one coin. But they were taking .75 out on the one coin bets and 2.25 on the three coin bets, but each win only reflected the .75 wins. I tried chatting online only to be disconnected and reconnected 4 different times, twice with the same agent. I also have those screen shots.

LMAO. You're killin' me.

So when I play on Ignition, there's ~20guys who are watching the games play out & deciding which cards to change. And they're able to do this because of the payoffs to the local police there?

You're watching too many movies.

You're completely out of touch with the online poker scene and yet are claiming the exact opposite. And this sir is why I found your posts so utterly ridiculous (beyond just the entertaining lol'z they provided).

I'm just surprised you're not famous yet... with all of this 'insider info.' you have.

When will you be posting pictures of these rooms you saw?
Can you show me how they switch out the cards (and how do they decide who's gets switched... and when? ... and why?). Do I need to fit into some sort of profile in order to get my cards switched?

I am sorry that you are exposing yourself as a fool. Blinded by your ignorance and your arrogance. I also very clearly said it was a Chinese site that focusses on baccarat that also does poker and you know that I very clearly said that. I very clearly said that I don't know about ignition (but in the few games I had played I saw an unusual number of runner runner suck outs) so please do not slander my character by making up things I did not say to mock me

If you want to play straw men games knock yourself out but I need prove nothing, especially to you

I have had this email address for 15 years will keep it for ever. If anyone who stumbles into this thread wanted to have this conversation I will always be notified when you post and contactable. I am more than happy to identify myself which in the real world is a well known bona fide as a person who does not make things up. I am well known nationally in an industry where your word is your bond and your career and reputation exist on the credibility of what you say. No doubt you will Google me and find a few pages on me in Calvin Ayre

Orifice wants photos. Clearly he thinks these things are a game and the characters in it don't play for keeps. Again exposing himself as a child in a grown ups world

Orifice if the day comes and you have a penny drop red pill moment, and are capable of having a non mocking or adversarial conversation about this, I am happy to reengage. Happy to do it on zoom too.

Orifice, if you can explain how this would change your mind about on line gaming sites IF (every single word I said) were true that would be a step towards an adult conversation.

I'm sorry mate, whoever you are you have been living under a rock.

Disagree entirely

there's no reason for them to rig a cash cow... it's the same age old online poker is rigged conspiracy theories.

This doesn't include collusion or potential bots as that's security and unethical play, not Ignition maliciously taking money from their poker players.

In fact - it would benefit them to keep people happy playing poker and ideally winning so they ride the high and switch over to their casino games and/or blackjack, that's where they make their real $$.

I made an account just to give my two cents here.

There is most definitely something fishy about Ignition. I cashed out 10k without a problem, it was almost instant. Following that I experienced some of the most insane poker i have ever seen in my life. 150k GTD tournaments getting called by Ace high to take the stack. Ridiculous beats at one point there was a larger straight flush.

I can chalk that up to just a bad run. But then i decided to play two small stakes tourneys at once when i witnessed it right before my eyes. I was being dealt the same exact identical hands on two different tables in two different tournaments.

I have $50 in my account with them. I’m going to bomb it and never come back.

Ignition card distribution has me tilted

I just lost the plot, I almost put my fist through my screen. Honestly. I can't believe how hard I've been ****ed by card distribution on Ignition when super deep vs a total spazzo fish. This is the 2nd time its happened and it just feels so dodgy.

I've had quite good success since coming to Igntion and I wasn't complaining when I had a 30 buy in upswing. But some of the shit that is happening to me against some of the worst players on the site makes me feel so dirty.

I tell this hand not to discuss the bad beat aspect but more so how opp could know to shove this spot.

270BBs effective hero J8o flop T88, hero bets vill calls, turn J, hero bets 40BBs vill calls. River Q and vill rams 190BBs?

This is not the only time this has happened to me where it seems villain knows I have cards that need to be in this pot.

I don't like to talk about online poker being rigged overall as I've beaten it over a large sample. But some aspects AT TIMES just feel so so wrong.

I honestly almost smashed up my desk as this has been an ongoing fisting in so many ways for the last 3 or 4 days. It just feels like the cards are trying to get me to enter pots when I'm behind. Give me bad beats, give me EV and run down on the river, but getting me to put money in behind because the hand plays itself just absolutely makes my stomach turn.

I believe Ignition is OK overall, but some things feel weird. Dunno, wish I could play elsewhere and experience the same (or not) at other sites. But being an Aussie my options are limited to Ignition and Ignition only :(

Cheers,

Disillusioned mid stakes grinder

There is definitely something wrong with random number generator

I have been a member of ignition poker for only 3 weeks. I basically only play sit n gos.

In the 3 weeks I’ve had (4) royal flushes.

That’s obviously the good, but the bad is the number of bad beats I’ve had is incredible. I know the odds off hands pretty closely working in a couple percentage points or so on most hands and the number of time guys are hitting the case card on the river is incredible.

Now I’m not talking about 2 guys going all in at the start of the hand and it’s a coin flip or 60/40, 70/30 beats.

I’m talking about playing a hand down to the river and guys are completely dominated and are catching the only 1 or 2 cards in the deck that can beat you.

The (4) royal flushed in 3 weeks is enough to tell me it rigged or atleast not truly random.

I’ve been playing poker almost my whole adult life. So like 25 years now.

For about 5 years for a few hours a night every night on party poker and then regular home games since then.

Then I found ignition about a month ago.

Now I’ve only had (6) royal flushes before ignition in my entire life and I’m 3 weeks I get (4) royal flushes.

I’m not sure what the average number of royal flushes other regular players have for their life. But, I know those odds are not right.

Don't really know too much about their RNG but I can confirm that 1. I AM a real person, and I won a $5 mtt with a playing field of around 440. 2. I have had coolers but studying poker and variance explains this. I do believe that (in my personal opinion) the cards are actually shuffled so throughly that more cooler hands probably come out IN THE SHORT TERM but this is probably my superstition.
