This is also just a myth. Winning players regularly withdraw money, and they still continue to win. I have personally withdrawn money from PokerStars and 888 Poker many times and continued to win. When PokerStars had levels from bronze to platinum(with stars near the avatar), freerolls were held once a week for them with different levels of prizes.
